    PCV on MPI turbo

I went the PC5 route after a year with the GEMS. I like tuning so I’m always keep track and adjusting my tune accordingly to my likings. If you purchased a 190mpi kit tune from someone good (Dave or Ulmer), most people don’t even have to adjust the tune.

Sr Viper 2016 flash poll and Thread

I’ve read in another posting somewhere that the rpm limit was raised 100rpm. Can anyone confirm this that has had the flash done? If people are noticing better starting, idle and the entire rpm range seems smoother, I will probably take mine to get done.

    Mpi Gems location

Ah ok! As far as I know the GEMS is fairly water resistant, in my opinion. I had mine in the location I mentioned for a few years. It would get snow on it, melt and dry from the engine heat coming up through the top. If a lot of snow got on it while riding, I’d quickly wipe it off and let the...

    Mpi Gems location

I don’t think I have any pictures, but I had mine located under the gauge cluster, just behind the steering column. On my STX there was just an expanded plastic piece there that I zip tied the GEMS to. Allowed me to change settings on the go.

    back fire and hard starting

Maybe I missed it in the previous posts, is the Viper you’re having issues with stock or modified?

    silencer mpi turbo

I personally don’t think it’s too loud. I can still hear myself think while cruising along. I never had a chance last year but this year I’ll also see if my wife can hear me any differently on our headsets compared to the MPI quiet muffler.

Would you say the Sidewinder Roller Secondary out performs the Viper Button Secondary? Or does the Thunder Roller pan out the same? Cheers

    intercooler benefit

The closer to the engine, the faster the spool up generally. Your drive pressure and heat is greater closest to the head, the sooner/faster the exhaust wheel sees those things, the quicker it will spool. But on the other hand, if you have a properly tuned header with good heat retention, you...

    intercooler benefit

Yes and no. If an air to air isn't made for its application (too small) then yes they are restrictive. However, any air to air properly made for X engine will be non restrictive. They will be rated for enough and above CFM of air flowing through them for that engine. And also remember, turbo lag...

    intercooler benefit

Just throwing this out there, unless there is already some data kicking around on here. Currently I have the MPI Trail Turbo with Intake outside, MPI's intake plenum, MPI Loud Muffler, PTi PC5, PC Ignition Module, ARP Studs, Headshim and Fueling needs to run 10lbs on 91 Octane safely. I've...
