    Knockout kit

I’ve only done it with the 1049 stub so it’s all I can vouch for. Don’t have a 973 to compare to.

    Knockout kit

My best guess is that it has tighter tolerances on the splines. I tried to measure/compare to the Sidewinder stub shaft but it's pretty tough to do with a set of Vernier calipers, which is all I have.

    Knockout kit

Or the option that I've posted in this thread (and also 2 years ago). 23 pages and counting and I don't see any solution - other than my own - that demonstrably eliminates the issue. Not saying there aren't others out there, but I thinks my videos speak for themselves. I wouldn't discount them...

    Knockout kit

The exact part number is in the title of the vids I posted on the previous page: KML 6307-2RDQE6. It's mentioned in one of the previous posts, but to emphasize - you need the stub shaft from a 1049cc engine (not the older carbed 973cc). For the price of the seal you might want to replace it at...

    Knockout kit

There's a Nytro stub shaft on eBay right now for $95.00, and the bearing is about $25. I'd pay $120 all day long to make this noise go away! I did my sled 2 years ago and it was as quiet when I sold it in April as the day I put the stub/bearing in (mine is the 2017 on previous page).

Bearing on its own hasn't yielded the results I was looking for. Normal clearance bearing with a Nytro stub shaft however...:

    WTB Viper secondary

I have a brand new one with stock Viper cam and a pink spring. It's never been on a sled. Bought it to test with on my Winder, never got around to it.

    Lifetime MPH

Thought about this on the weekend; what is the lifetime MPH of my sled? 2017 Winder - 6020 miles on the odometer, 191 hours on the gauge. 6020/191 = 31.5 MPH. What this tells me, I have no idea. I know quite a few of those miles are WOT on the lake, and our trail system lends itself to...

    Only on this Winder haha

    That sled hates you.

    Hay Days 2022

I’ll try to make it, Kevin. We’re traveling in convoy, you know how that sometimes goes… My RV guy sent a few pics earlier this evening. Our trailer is already set up in the Coop, big pile of wood right beside it. We’re off to a good start!

    Hay Days 2022

6 of us coming down, also staying in the Chicken Coop Fri-Mon. Used RVSHARE to book a couple of campers and picked renters that were close to North Branch. We’ll get there around 6 on Friday, RV’s should already be there and set up for us. Same deal on Monday morning: we drive away and the...

    2023 Spring Order Sidewinders

Just tried to order an SRX (Canada) and no go - I'm on the wait list.

Hurricane closed loop with ECU master setup.

Things will work right up until the point that they don't. You're trying to diagnose a problem, this needs to be confirmed.

Hurricane closed loop with ECU master setup.

Do you have power to the module itself?

Sidewinder mystery plug on right side?

Nope, not that I'm aware of.
