I had a rear 8” wheel fail yesterday. I have the Yamaha Viper / Arctic cat 4th wheel kit. Anyone know where I ca locate a wheel. Excell said they are on back order, local cat dealer doesn’t have them. I tried BOP also, and he doesn’t have them.
There is a plastic gear inside the actuator that strips. there are videos on here about it. Mine does it when I shut it off, it is to make sure it puts it into forward when you start it again. There is a video that you can reclock the gear to miss the stripped pard. I’m looking to see if the...
I am having this same buzzing when I shut it off. No issues when riding. Goes in and out of reverse fine. can anyone tell me what the solution is, and how difficult it is to repair? it’s a 2016 viper LTX se. Thank you.
Sled is 2016 LTX se. Has Excell can and airbox mod, DuPont slides, secondary machined for 8dn belt. Bottom end and mid are still great, just more top end. Gearing 24/48 stock chain.
I went to 48 lower gear, and it worked great. Got the gear from Ulmer. Also had the secondary clutch machined for 8 dn by them. Definitely more top end now.
I had a progressive policy before switching to sled insurance. They are great, saved me a lot, and still have a progressive policy. Meet them at Snodeo in Old Forge last year....
Yammitrip, there are a few options for you this weekend. Drags on Oneida lake, and Ilion Snowdrifters Drags. Old forge has Winter Carnival....I’m sure 4th lake is always fast.
An option is Excells can mod. All work is done internally, supposed to increase 9hp IIRC. Doesn't sound much different than stock. A little throatier sound. I’ve never had a complaint.
I had a head gasket go bad after overheat (stud through heat exchanger)on my Nytro. I would be able to ride 100miles before it had pushed enough coolant into the overflow, that the temp light would come on. There were really no other symptoms. It must have been minor since it happened so...
If you’re on delta on Sunday, I’d like to see that. I May need a few pointers as mine doesn’t seem to be reaching its potential. I’m at Oneida lake right now,( just at camp, not riding) not a bit of snow on it, traction would be impossible
