I just finished my upgrade of the weak factory drag links that wear out quickly. I have a kit available if anybody needs them. I put this together myself. I can get them in anodized black if anyone needs to upgrade. Also these are adjustable for pre-load, which factory are not.

Just ordered two sets today. Will take pics and post when installed.

Mine loosened up also. I'm going to just replace the link with radius rod ends from my sprint car parts. They will not wear out like the factory ones. I'll post a pic when done

Is it studded? How many miles? Track aligned? Track tensioned? If my track is too loose I get a vibration, also on ice I can occasionally get a little vibration from the stud heads on the wheels. I run an 8dn belt also. Last question. Have you ridden it since installing clutch kit or first time...

I've had a vector, apex, sr viper, and a sidewinder. If money isn't the issue, get the sidewinder. If it's a consideration then definitely the Viper. The ride on the new sidewinder and viper is identicle on my sleds when set the same. I loved my apex but you can get a sidewinder for the same...

There are gains to be had by just flash tuning but they are limited until you bite the bullet and bolt on things like a free flowing exhaust to accompany added fueling and timing. The Viper is a little more difficult if you do just an ecu flash. You can add a pcv-ti with an upgraded fuel table...

From anyone who has dealt with Ulmer Racing, you have not been disappointed with his knowledge and customer service, when you can get ahold of him. I have dealt with him over the last few years and I would recommend him to anyone. He has a farm and a business. Hopefully someday he could expand...

Found it and sent a message. That sled was a disaster..... But still runs after all that abuse... A testament to Yamaha!

How does your belt drive in place of chain drive work? Easy adjustments, tensioning, etc..? I'm considering the same mod.

I have limited set at 9800 rpm and runs excellent. About 1.5 - 2hp per 100 rpm increase over stock. About 9 - 12hp increase from 9200 rpm limit. Clutching a little easier too. I was banging the rev limiter when I first installed turbo and at 8 psi I don't hit it. At 15-16 psi I still hit rev...

Did that work? Seems relays etc.. are problematic for some and non existent for others. Hopefully it's not an issue with a frozen starter like another member recently had.

I was excited about rotational mass reduction and gear change simplicity. Kinda forgot about reverse.....:home:
