OK, I screwed up. 2005 RX-1 Mountain Limited edition. Less than 3K miles. Hit a rock and lost all my coolant. Tried getting home, almost made it before engine quit. Still turns over, no compression, acts as if I had bent valves. Have not pulled the engine to check anything, but I am guesssing...

Was out for the 3rd time with the RX-1 this past Sunday, only now getting used to the difference in low end / throttle response. It does take some getting used to. Next sunday is a group ride through back country powder, will see how it performs in those conditions.

I had been considering going with the red carb springs, have a stock set-up ('05 RX-1 Mtn). I ride at elevations of around 9K - 10.5K elevation in western Colorado. Let me know if you are wiling to part with yours.

Thanks for the replies so far. I had read many of the other threads on the forum about mods. One of the reasons I looked for an '05 because of the rings issue, a bit lighter weight, some differences in clutching, etc. I generally ride in groups with people from my snowmobile club...
