This guy buys a new T Cat every year, he did bring it to the dealer and they're having trouble figuring it out. They're in touch with Cat and they're sending a new throttle body. I thought I'd post it here because there's so many people in the know and maybe he could get his sled fixed quicker...
My buddy's new T cat with 0 miles backfires at 4000 rpm and doesn't run. The dealer is stumped and they're talking about a new engine.

Thought I loved my Nytro and this is what I spent thousands trying to get my Nytro to be. Better ride, better handling and motor seems as strong. the clutching actually seems more smooth too.

Fixed, thank you for the help. I did the groove offset the first time, this time I lined it up and had to move CC about 3/8" and it worked fine. Gonna have to get used to working on these Cats...never had so much oil on my garage floor from a Yamaha!
I think it's worth it.
So my dealer lied and said they changed everything before delivering my used 2014 ZR7000lxr.
I changed both motor and chain case oil today based on a lot of what I learned on TY. Reverse worked after I was done on the stand, took it off the stand and tried to back out of the garage and nothing...
