I have read many posts about the seat conversion, but I am a bit confused about which Apex seat fits my sled...
I am leaning towards the moutain Seat that is more firm, which mountain seat will that fit my 05 warrior?
Also, with the warrior chasis is the tank cover cut necessary...
Update - a different dealer cleaned the carbs. Runs great, all fixed.
If in Vermont I suggest Lucky's Yamaha just off interstate 89 exit 3. They did a great job, and got me in quick....
Thanks for the replies
Hello - before the year began I brought my sled in to my Yamaha dealer for a pre-season service. This week I went out for the first ride of the year.....from the fist moment, while the sled was warming up - I noticed somthing didn't sound right. At low RPMs (idle) the machine sounds life an...
Is that the screw that has an "H" and a "S" on it?
I assumed Hard and soft......there is an arrow that points which way to click. I do not know if this screw makes much difference.....
Thanks - That makes sense!
With the back of the sled raised up on a winch and the relay rods off - I didn't have to muscle it too much. The sequence in which I put it back together made a big difference with lining up the bolt holes on the relay rods. I had to put the shock in place...
Control rods? The two bars that run along side of the shock, I removed and re-installed at the connection closest to the front of the sled when I swapped out the shock. I had the rear end of the sled in the air on a come along when I did this.
If those are not the conrol arms - then I did...
ok - I replaced the rear shock for my 05 warrior. Things went pretty smooth.
Len Todd - I have a coule of questions...
1. The shock I took out said G47M. The new shock # was G45M. Did I get the wrong part for this sled.
2. I weight 250lbs - Rear bumper to ground (no rider) was 18 3/4"...
Any tricks for changing out a belt on a 05 rx warrior? I had to change mine on the trail last weekend after I flat spotted the belt getting stuck in some heavy wet snow. The process seems painful. It took 2 guys to do the change, one to hold the secondary open the other to remove the...
I have a new rear shock for my 05 Warrior - I want to do the work myself. Could somebody give me a reader's digest version of how to perform this job.
Thanks in advance.
Yesterday - I had a similar issue with my 05 Warrior. When cruising across a lake 60-70 MPH, I would put it to the pin and the sled would bog down and stop pulling. The snow conditions before the lake were not ideal, and the sled was running hot - but not overheating. I sensed that maybe the...
I updated the sway bar on my 05 RX warrior. I installed the 13mm bar from Pioneer Performance - Everything seemed to go as planned....How much side to side "play" should there be? My bar is flush with the outside of the link on both sides...and there is about 1/4-3/8" play side to side...
That's great info - I put stable in it at the end of the season, and have started the machine once a month since. I will use the cleaner as well!
Thanks
