Okay here is my issue -- my clutches are grabbing the belt at idle (from time to time) and then causing the sled to creep forward. I'm not sure if it's just never not engaging or if it's intermittent engaging early/ not letting go of the belt off the throttle. But twice last spring the Attak...
I'm driving on the interstate right now pulling my triton sled trailer. It has the standard 10" or 12" wheels and bearings and I maintain it well by keeping bearings well greased and tires properly inflated.
As I cruise down the interstate at 70, I often wonder what exactly is the max...
A Nytro XTX coming from factory with a 1.75 back country track???? That's it????? No kiddie sled (yet)????? Didn't they advertise having this "new" sled a month ago????? Ridiculous.
Hello all. I'm wanting a low boost turbo for my Apex. I'd like to avoid removing the engine if I could (for new postons or head studs or head gasket) and I'd rarther not have a meth kit...
Is there any low boost, pump gas Apex kits with like 200 or so HP for 2009 - 2010 Apex that does not...
Hey all, I'm just wondering where everyone is mounting their Power Commander LCD screens. I velcro'd mine below my dash but I can't see it when riding. I saw MrSled's bracket he built which looked awesome. Anyone know if there is any like that a guy could buy? Or are there any gps handlebar...
Any body know a good, experienced turbo installer for Yamaha sleds, specifically the Apex models in MN or Northern WI? I don't mind driving a litttle ways to find a really good installer who will do the install right.
Btw, I'm interested in a lower boost (5 - 9 lbs psi perhaps), completely...
Hello all, I'm installing OFT's roll over valve (rov) kit/ Pro Armor tether kit onto my MTX and I've also heard there is a way to purposely disable your kill switch during the process, as many riders using tethers also do. Can anyone explain the process or point me in the direction of how to...
My new to me Apex MTX came with the stock mountain skis. Looks like he has good aftermarket carbides on there, not sure which ones. I could shim them a bit and try them out. Thoughts?
Another option is I have the 7" Slydog Powderhounds in my garage that I took off my Viper Mtn that I sold...
Heres what I just picked up from Jeff at Skinz:
Here is a few of the goodie's that came on the MTX:
Timbersled Mountain Tamer Rear Skid w/ Floats
Timbersled Barkbuster A Arms
162 Challenger Extreme Track
Fox Floats front and rear
SPG Airprene shock covers
SPG Seat Kit
SPG...
Hey all. I'm not sure what to do about this one. The turning portion of my transfer control rod will still turn both ways even when I tighten the lock nut/ locking collar as tight as it will go, even with a screw driver and hammer. I noticed it started last spring. It used to tighten up well...
Gents:
I have done a ton of research on this and even once procured then sold a MB drive shaft and 8 tooth extro drivers. I thought I wanted 9 tooth extros then. But now I am not so sure....
Here in my situation: I installed a tunnel extension to 144" this summer on the Attak. Sometime...
I've been looking at EZ Ryde skids. My Tunnel on the Attak is extended to 144", so I'm thinking a 144" EX Ryde would be nice.
can I use my same front mounting holes as the Mono skid? Then find appropriate drop brackets and get holes drilled for the rear mounts?
I have sent an email to...
At Hay Days yesterday I saw Yamaha's new hi fax, with Du Pont embedded material. I'm convinced they will solve the 2011 XTX hi fax issues. They will be about $60 per side but are expected to last 10,000 miles. They had a display with hi fax shown where they had a hi performance wide slide on...
You guys read Chris Reid's article today that Yamaha will introduce tommorrow at Haydays a new dual keel ski?
I wonder how long it takes for Simmons to file the law suit........

It's less than two weeks out from Hay Days now -- the official start of the sled season!!!!
For me it's been a summer of some big modifications to the Attak. Nothing earth shattering compared to what some of you guys get into mind you, but for me its been enjoyable and I'm hoping for some...
Anyone running one of these? I remember last year TY was selling custom snow flaps. They looked sweet! :flag: But I haven't seen them in a while in the store.... Does TY still sell those snow flaps?
I've heard good things from both. Anybody have a preference? Is one advantageous or better than the other? Different concepts it seems, but accomplish similar ends.......
Which is the better alternative?
I think it's time to replace my skid bushings this summer. Doing the beef up kit also. No cracks, but just preventive maintenance I guess.
Anyone know a place where I can obtain the whole kit of Mono skid bushings, etc.? Someone like Pioneer sell a whole kit?
Or does anybody know the...
