almost sounds like the spring wire that is around the hose from the shock to the reservoir in the skid , did that hose fitting break? with no front shock , that would plant the front of the sled like you were saying
from the looks of the chain , the discoloration on that little metal tab looks like it got HOT in there . did anything drain out of the chaincase when you opened it up ? if not , I`d be worried about the bearings on the jackshaft and drive shaft also , might as well check them while you have...
the header pipe and filters will be where you make the extra power , but then need the fuel programmer and clutching to make the most out of it . Good luck , looks like you`ll have a few months to play with it now . no matter who`s system you go with be sure to check the header pipe each year...
Header pipe , K&N filters , and fuel programmer . don`t gain much with just putting a new noise maker on it ,. need to get the header and filters, stock muffler is ok unless you want to make more noise ,lol, save some weight with aftermarket muffler also.

We spend thousands on these sleds and more on mods and accessories, not to mention the clothes and everything else that goes with this sport, then people want to go cheap on the lifeblood of the motor. I'll use the Yamalube thank you
