To add to the speculation....just figured, i would pass it along. Now this comes from my Yamaha dealer here in Quebec. He tells me that information he was given is, yes, you will see new sleds this year.(new models), however the only sled to be built in Japan, will continue to be the VK.

That’s it! Definitely need to do the shock re-valving and you need that heavier center spring with it as well. I did over 44k km on my 14 XTX with a star setup. Loved it.

What’s the difference between the Elka stage 2 and the stage 4 shocks for single shot Apex XTX?

Not sure how the others like it but, for me it’s a home run by Yamaha. My fourth Apex and my 18 corners flat with this new system. The difference is very noticeable here in Quebec on the trails. Love Love Love my new 18 XTX.

It’s a Roto Pax, just 1 gallon but better than nothing. I did the same swap on my 18 XTX for exactly the same reasons. No regrets.

It’s sprayed on bedliner, like used to protect beds of pickup trucks. Professionally Sprayed not a do it yourself thing.
