Weight is important to a point, but also consider the old F8 chassis to a Nytro. Weight probably close, Nytro lighter I would guess. You look at ride quality, handling, and even your "playfulness" the F8 is probably better.
In some settings weight is very important, others not so much. I have...
I really hope that Yam can do it and I will keep any open mind, but talked to a dealer who has been selling sleds (sometimes 3 brands) and he said the procross chassis was the worst he has ever sold and it's not close. Can't get parts, Arctic Cat themselves didn't know how to fix some issues at...
Spoke to a dealer today- Yamaha assured them repeatedly that this snowmobile will be built to Yamaha Specs and they will warranty them for 3 years. They also said they were along for the development of the chassis/suspension from infancy. Time will tell I suppose.
Someone please do a nice comparo of the changes and differences between the sleds. Are all the changes only related to motor and clutching? Everything else carried over?
Chris Reid seemed to imply Yamaha had a huge part in testing these things too and their engineers were without a doubt a part of the process- alluding to riding one a year ago. If, big if, Yamaha improved the quality of the TRF plant everyone buying ACs next year should be very happy. People who...
Okay, there seems to be a TON of unique features for Yamaha in this chassis- how many people said the motor wouldn't fit- something changed.
Also, the SR Viper RTX SE has to be the best looking sled on snow with that color scheme...
I agree that is a really good possibility, but it just seems crazy that at some point Yamaha wouldn't announce these plans or somehow someone didn't find out about this move- some sort of solid info. Fast approaching.
I think even a lot of naysayers would love that idea-many just don't think it is going to happen- although it does beg the question how does this whole process work if you just are rebadging a product? Where/when are they putting in the engines- joint ventures at TRF? A US Yamaha plant? Would...
If it is just a procross CR definitely needs to address his statement "blue is true" at the very least implies Yamaha is doing something besides rebadging someone else's product.
So begins the age of the Yamapussy? Lol
My source says big things are coming.
My source is my cousin's brother's uncle who eats lunch with a guy who knows someone who worked at Yamaha with a guy who used to know Chris Reid.
