You should look at a new phazer xtx. It comes with a 1.5in 144 track and if you find a new left over, you might find one for the price of a used apex. It's also very nimble and quite capable of breaking trail to explore if that's your thing
The belt life on a timing belt style drive will far exceed the life of alot of other components on the sled. Not only that but they're simple to change. Weight savings alone and one less stinky fluid is a nice bonus too.
I'd love to try a set of Curves but my C&A RZ's were a game changer on my Nytro. They tend to be a bit on the aggressive side for the average rider though. I picked the RZ for my short track and if I had an xtx like you I'd pick the XTX ski for crossover sleds. Don't think you could go wrong...
I've heard rumours they're gonna bring back the 700 red top triple in an Arctic Cat F chassis in an effort to get rid of some old parts. It will be called the SXF7... Reverse lights are only available with spring order
My dealer had them a couple years ago. I did some diggin for ya and found an old pick of the package I took incase I ever wanted another. They had gloss black too
It's in the Fx Nytro FAQ section under tracks. It's not a bad job as long as you take your time and lay everything out the way it came apart and put it back together in the same order. The thread with pics is a huge help.

The Ice Cobra 1.6 is only available in 2.86 pitch as well so forget about it. Unless you wanna change drivers too. As far as the soft lug problem, the 1.375 cobra was terrible for that I agree, but the 1.6 seems to hold up better
I'd say they're fairly stiff. After a lot of abuse this track still hooks and has no signs of wear or missing lugs. It also greatly improved my braking which was a nice surprise
The track is fully clipped and I also run the excell wheel kit and the slides are still barely worn after 2000 miles. Cooling has never been an issue for me either. This track is an unbelievable improvement over stock
It happens when riding aggressively and your up tight to the bars and tank hanging off left or right. If riding at a medium or casual pace the sled was comfortable I agree
