    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Once I start getting things back together again I may take another stab at it and or remove the riser so there’s lots of free play. Must admit I’m getting a little tired of the project in some ways as things haven’t gone as smoothly as I’d hoped. Seems to be a waiting game for parts.

    2013 nytro a arms on a 2009

I wasn’t sure if anything changed when they went away from the clicker shocks on the front or not. That was the only major difference between models that I could think of that would maybe affect things.

    2013 nytro a arms on a 2009

Well my rebuild took a turn for the worse this morning again. Went to press out the lower ball joint on the left had side and the snap ring groove decided it wanted to go with.( yes the snap ring was removed lol) a friend of mine has a set from a 2013 nytro xtx and was just wondering if anyone...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Sorry missed your post while browsing before. I’m assuming that’s a big part of the problem. One thing I’ve wondered about too and was actually just about to make another post about is the routing of the parking brake cable. I have a oft steering relocate on it and it runs overtop of the...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

The wear on the brake rotor likely doesn’t help any either. Not sure what new is but it’s definitely grooved a bit. Best guess is new is 4mm and this ones sitting at 3.35-3.40 so less then ideal I’m sure.

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Well I’ve about given up on this parking brake for now. Problem with it is the brake puck on the outside of the adjuster doesn’t sit square with the rotor. The o-rings or guides inside the parking brake must be worn enough that it doesn’t sit properly. When I adjust the parking brake pad to the...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

I just installed new ones as the outer one was wore down. Naturally I had the leaver out to change the pads and I’m reasonably sure I got it back in correctly. The cable only has so much pull so it can only sit one way to line up really.

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

I have adjusted it in to the point where it’s almost touching the brake disc with that adjuster. Brake disc actually gets hot so I had to back it off a 1/4 turn or so. Even with it adjusted to that point you can grab the brake disc and move it by hand with the parking brake on. Like I said...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Still not really happy with how the parking brake is working. Looking at the service manual it shows 4 washers but the parts diagram only shows 2. Still makes me wonder if there shouldn’t be 2 more washers to take up space on the inside.

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Got it back together without to much more fuss after I pushed the lower footwell back a little bit. Over the years it’s been pushed forward some I guess and was holding the housing back from lining up correctly. Currently fighting with the parking brake. Book says 1.5-2mm between the pads and...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Pulled it back apart this morning as it was getting late last night and verified where that other washer actually went. It’s a different size then the internal one on the top sprocket so they’ll only fit one way. It wasn’t completely flattened out so I just went ahead and installed it. Just...

    Nytro chaincase missing parts

Have a problem I’m hoping someone can shed some light on for me. Working on a 2009 nytro xtx that had a broken bolt on the track driveshaft as well as a speedo side bearing gone. Have that out and all the new parts needed for reassembly. Machined a new spacer tonight for the bolt in hopes of...

    It’s finally over for Yamaha

Yup the one and only lol. I kind of wondered if it was jarret replying. Hard to know for sure but it did seem to be someone with a little bit more knowledge. I’m sure he’s as let down as everyone else but most likely knew the writing was on the wall too. He’s tried to keep excitement up with...

    Who's going to order a 2025??

On the fence as I just got a basically brand new 2022 last fall. I have warranty till 2026 so I’m not desperate to upgrade. Probably give it time and see if anything shakes loose like a deal with one of the other 2 mfg to supply motors. If the right deal came along though I could be persuaded...

    It’s finally over for Yamaha

Lol surprised to see that show up here. I didn’t expect much for info when I asked but I had to anyways. Hopefully someone will continue to use the motor. I really don’t want to go back to a 2 stroke.

How many miles did you get on your sled this season 2022-2023?

Seasons officially over now I think. Clubs are all closing the trails and unless I travel another 200 kms north there isn’t much for rideable snow left. Managed to get ancouple More trips in since my last post. Was hoping to do some more but the nytro went down with a bad driveshaft bearing...

How many miles did you get on your sled this season 2022-2023?

Siting at about 2400 kms and going up. Roughly 1500 on the new sidewinder and another 900 on the nytro. Could easily have done more but I’m in no hurry to wear the new one out. Actually parked it a month ago and been riding the old one around since. Probably take the new one for one more ride...

    Sidewinder trail tank

My biggest concern with putting a extra tank on the back is bending my tunnel. I don’t carry much for weight in my rear bag just for that reason. The trail tank at least the weight stays where it’s meant to. Just wish it had. Little bit more capacity then it does. It’s not a huge gain if...

    Sidewinder trail tank

I’ve been strongly considering it as well but haven’t seen many reports of guys using them yet. I have the combination saddle bag/rear bag on mine so I can’t put a linq tank on it. Already tried to put one in the bag and it didn’t fit. I used to be able to do 180-200 kms comfortably on my viper...
