06 Nytro no crank no start

That is a sure way to compress the timing tensioner and skip a couple links on the chain.

    Carbon Fiber Nytro

earthx lithium battery will also save you a little over 10 pounds, more importantly it is high up in the front of the sled, best spot to save weight.

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

That will definitely be the first thing I try if it comes back during the test run. Easy to test in the field!

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

That is kind of what I'm thinking it is. When I replaced the handlebars, there definitely was some careful routing, and it appears to not take much to upset it. There was plenty of slack in the cable, and nothing was changed, but maybe if the routing was putting some pressure on the cable in...

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

Did a quick start up (sorry neighbors!), and I couldn't recreate it, with or without the tether back in place. There were no obvious wire problems, everything looks good. I did bypass tors for testing, I'm guessing I'll probably just button it back up and do another on-snow test.

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

Anyone know if this is stock? Seems out of place. Relay poorly velcroed to the block right below the battery. Label has four stroke solutions and mountain performance. The wiring looks way too good to not be factory, the relay just looks strange. Also... my kill tether has never worked...

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

Finally got in the garage tonight, haven't started looking yet but will soon. The good news is it is repeatable now and will do it on the lift. * won't TORS only activate at a certain RPM? This happens at all rpm including idle. * Definitely not fuel related. Fresh fuel, and it happens...

I guess I can't turn right any more. Apparently the skis control my fueling now

The last 2 times out I've had a strange stumble that is very sporadic. Changed some VERY wet plugs after the last ride, and it was good, for about 100 feet. Luckily I just happened to notice this trick as I was going to load. So I guess I get to spend some quality time tracing wires and...

    Eating slides help

How much and were are they wearing? Yamaha's tend to wear a spot near the front quickly, but it hits a certain point and kind of stops

    Vibration in track?

Check all your idler bearings to see if any are failing. At least in my experience I usually have at least one bad one by 3k miles.

    Forget Yamacat.... Yamalaris!!!

I had a '95 vmax that was a yamalaris also. Polaris plastic skis, X10 skid, and P95 clutch. The engine was the best part of the vmax!

Rx-1 at my wit's end! Carb issues??

Fuel pump? RX should have dual fuel pumps, each one feeding a pair of carbs. Hopefully you mean both?

    carbs wont stay on

I'm ready to get rid of my RX for a fuel injected sled almost entirely because of the carb boots! In particular it isn't the carb to engine boot, it is the airbox to carb. Couple things that make it a little easier. Spray a little silicone on the boots, helps them slip. You can feel if it...

    Shot in the dark

No mechanical ability... Did he get creative and fill the overflow tank to level full? That would have held about a quart, and would have promptly puked it all overboard as it heated up.

Is a 25W Seat Heater too much for my Stator?

Should be fine, could always throw in some LED headlights and you will ahead on power overall.

    Stalling question

Need yourself a set of tunnel mounted scratchers if you are on ice without any fresh snow. Pretty sure the venture has a cooling fan already which helps a huge amount but as you found out, can still overheat with ice and idling.

    2006 Nytro ER brown coolant

not necessarily. I ran a coolant enhancer (water wetter or similar). When it combined with the stock green coolant, the result was kind of an oily brown color. With an unknown history, wouldn't hurt changing both the coolant and oil and see if it comes back.

    Starting RS Venture -06

That exact procedure almost cost me 2 sleds and a trailer! I was on the second round of spraying some starting fluid in when I tried starting, it backfired out the intake, and caught the airbox on fire! (turns out that the overspray from the ether plus the oil residue in the airbox makes for a...

    09 xtx

I've had a'06 Nytro which is the same chassis as your apex and now a '9 Nytro. Two completely different sleds. The RS is a trail beast, low center of gravity, wants to stay flat on the turns. No matter how well you tune a FX, it isn't going to hang with a RS in tight trails, too much mass...

    Oil Reservoir tank

Pretty much everyone! (well not quite) The lucky ones catch it before it costs an engine. My RX cracked and I caught it in the fall. I tried to be pro-active on my RS and was going to mount the tank on rubber grommets, and I cracked it while drilling the holes. Not sure if it is still out...
