    2021 Release?

I think the 2021 Yamacat 2 strokes & beyond will mean more to everyone once Yamaha and Ac/Textron finally admits to the buyout of AC sled division by Yamaha. Just looking at it with my goggles.

    NEW GAUGE CLUSTER

Don’t want it or need it for the Additional cost. I have been using a Garmin Nuvi for years. Rain, Sleet, snow, -40 to +100 no issues. Just purchased 3 extras this past seasoson for under $30 each lightly used with mounts and wiring . Can still update and install current sd-cards. Love the...

Relax! Yamaha is not lying Down.

Just had a sit down in person meeting with the Yamaha snowmobile Division /Yam-a-God’s today. They are definitely looking to push forward. They had many questions for me as being a multi line dealer and being a solid Snowmobile rider myself. They really wanted my input as a dealer and rider...

    Impossible track alignment

If adjusting with just Center Tri-hub it is damn near impossible to get completely centered. I would recommend adding outside wheels, 4th wheel kit. This makes it easier to Center.

3500 miles driveshaft and bearing smoked

Old fashion, but works great. Old style oil squirt can with brake fluid and hose has always worked for me. Easier to push air pockets up then down. Connect oil can to bleed screw with a tight vinyl hose. Crack bleed screw and squirt brake fluid from bottom up to master. Once fluid has...

    Ontario SRX yet

Not sure on the turbo delay rumor. We have all Our 2019 9000 Cats delivered already. Preseason and in season stock. Talk about frustration. We have already had 2 preseason Winders sales move to a Cat 9000 purchase over this delay. Just Glad we sell both to make the customer happy.

Barn of Parts.... Tunnel Cooler Hose Protector

BOP Guards look great. To bad I didn’t document and build/sell my protectors I made for my Winder 2 seasons ago with just a pair of cheap sliders. I made them originally to protect the tunnel from tall studs but made them longer to protect the hoses. After over 7000 miles on it with...

    Pilot 6.9 ski's installed

Great topic!!! After trying 5 different ski’s on my Winder over approx 3800 Miles 6.9 Pilots were the best. I know there are many talking about Curve ski’s on Winders but after using them I would rate them one of the worst ski’s to be used for this application. The curve ski’s were almost...

    Tunnel protectors for a sidewinder

Here is my set up on my last years Winder. I put 3500 flawless miles on it. Installed ski-Doo sliders on the tunnel coolers ( a bit of a task to stretch over. Heat and lube got it done). This now protected the the hose in front though. Then stock Yamaha/Cat rear heat exchanger protectors...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

One thing I can only hope for with the new Doo 900turbo that it has better oil pump gears. Many complaints out there with 900 ace models with customers that Have issues with oil pump gears. We have had a customer ruin a motor twice on a 900 Blizzard With few miles on it stripping the...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Not much has changed in the past years. In 2008 BRP compared weights agiainst Yami. Doo 500ss tnt 2stroke twin against a Apex Gt 4stroke 4 cylinder. Always tipping the scales in their direction.

141 suspension with a big rider

Just my opinion. 137 with coupled suspension is better for hevier loads. You can adjust the preload to the rear better. In a uncoupled 141 is a bit harder to dial in. Not saying it won’t do the job but will be stiffer from the get go even dialed in for the weight.

    SRX in Copper Harbor

New Clutching as well. YSRC High Performance Clutch System The YSRC primary and roller secondary clutches are recalibrated with a new helix for durable, cooler operation. Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

I can only hope Yamaha is far from done using a R1/Apex motor in sleds. The Crossplane crank R1 engine is even better than the Apex Engine ever was for tork and over all usable performance. Coming to you soon will be their new R1/DT race car. If only Yamaha has the guts to put this in a...

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

Xp123 Intercooler being iced or plugged should not bother you. Never cleaned mine out and still blew by my buddy on his 850 all day long with better fuel economy. 3500mi and not a glitch. Only guys trying to get the optimal should be conserened. Yes I waited about 10 minutes for this...

    Sidewinder vs. Apex

I loved my 2015 Apex XTX 144 with tipped rails and installed tall seat kit and bars. Yes it did not have the performance of my 17 Winder but I would have ordered a 50th Apex if Yamaha had not put a 146 suspension and air shock in the rear.

Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

I believe the 900 will be a nice unit. But if comparing a XRS 900T to a Sidewinder LE 17/18 it will fall short in almost every catagory. It will probably be better on fuel but that will be about it. After owning a SW LE and a XRS 850 I know my Winder will out perform and out handle the XRS...
