Top end MPH on 17 SW.

Yamaha is putting in a 35/39 as helix from the factory now? I have a '17 and believe the stock was a straight 35. When these things first came out one of the first recommendations were to go to a 35/39. I was originally told one of the best clutch set ups was this helix with Thunder Products...

    Decals

Had an '09 Vector that one side ended up missing. Never saw it happen and didn't realize it was gone after it happened. That surface definitely invites poor adhesion.

    2021 sidewinder srx le

Did you get quotes for a trade in yet? Did you blue book your sled, look for comparable sleds for sale in classifieds, marketplace, Craig's list, this website, other sled websites, etc? Hard to decide if you don't have all of the info. I don't have EPS on my sled, but wish I did. Hear it is...

    Viper voltage issue

Thanks for the info. That is good to know real world info/numbers and be able to compare. It does reinforce the fact that I definitely have a charging issue with mine.

    Viper voltage issue

Thanks for the response. Do you know what the correct voltage should be? (idle and running)

    Viper voltage issue

Sorry, if this has been addressed somewhere before, but I looked at numerous older threads without a solid answer. Here's the story. 2015 Viper LTX-SE. Was at about 70 miles last Sat when got P0562 (low voltage) code. Apparently, the headlights were more dim than normal too. Engine also was...

    Viper or sidewinder

Cat skis are definitely an upgrade. Viper shocks are the stock ones (Fox floats.) Still haven't quite figured out the set up yet, but that's definitely not my forte.

    Viper or sidewinder

I have both. a '15 Viper LTX SE and a '17 Sidewinder LTX LE. I can't add much that's already been said. The Viper has a lot of low end grunt and the SW is great top end (with lots of arm pull.) Both seem mostly the same, other than the power really. The skis on both suck. I opted for Cat...

    Pilot 6.9 options

I also would say Cat skis are an option. Put them on the gf's Viper with a set of slim jims. Better than the junk stockers. Will be doing it to my Winder eventually as well. I found brand new takes offs in the online classifieds.

    Squeaking Front end ???

I'm still using Fluid Film as my go to. Depending on conditions, it may last one ride or more before the squeak returns.

Floor protection and pattern for inline trailer

Thanks Rob. Appreciate the responses. Still trying to figure some things out with this thing and want to make sure I take care of it and use it most efficiently. I actually have a 3rd sled that doesn't get used much and really struggled on deciding on what length to go with. Go to know that...

Floor protection and pattern for inline trailer

I have another question: what is the best way to load two 137" (Sidewinder LTX and a Viper LTX) sleds in this trailer? Will they fit going in from the rear ramp first or do you have to load from the front ramp? I didn't necessarily plan on using the front ramp much, but have seen some posts...

Floor protection and pattern for inline trailer

I just purchased my first enclosed (non clam shell) trailer. It's a 7x19' (14' box and 5' V nose) Lightning inline trailer. Since you have to stagger the sleds to get them to fit, I'm wondering what type of positioning you use for floor protection. All my sleds are studded. So, first off any...

    Throttle (and starting) issue

Don't shame me, but yes I haven't done anything with the rollover valve (or top gear, driveshaft, etc.) It's pretty much the same as you last saw it (other than fresh oil changes, new belts, and gauntlets.) I did question if it was maybe not running on all cylinders. I think you even...

    Throttle (and starting) issue

Was up in Rhinelander last week. Temps were pretty cold over the weekend. I have a 2017 Sidewinder LTX-LE. Saturday, I never had any issue, other than a few more turns of the key to get it to start. Sunday morning (still -13 degrees out) it really struggled to start. I was patient, however...

    2022 BENTS Camp radar run.

Jon, do you know if it's a shaved ice or snow track? I was asked by someone, who thought it was more of a snow track vs ice. Not sure where he got his info from that thought that was the case. This may make a difference for some considering going. Thanks.
