What Travis said. I did this last year. Pulled the rear suspension and track. Threw it in the trailer and took it to a local welder since I got rid of my AC tig machine a few years ago. 20 minutes later back in the trailer and off I went. Only charged me 60 bucks.
The key on my 17 stuck in the start position last Friday night and I didn't realize it. Took out the starter then the entire charging system. Sled died 2 miles from the hotel when I was by myself. Maybe that has happened to more than a few people and this is their fix for it.
Why are you mixing fuel on MS17? That's all I run and have never seen a knock light.

Another few hundred miles on it the last couple days. No issues. Finally running perfect. It's crazy how smooth and easy it is to cruise at over 90 mph now.

You guys have me curious. I have a 2012 vector with only 1500 miles on it. Wondering if I have the necessary parts on hand to swap the clutches between the vector and the SW and still make the vector run decent. It's just the GFs sled so she's not aggressive at all. At least to try it out...
