yep ...had a cracked pipe, think that will fix it. Part should come in next week. My friend a ski doo tech came over with some shop tools and gave everything a good check over. He found the cracked pipe and found some coils on their way out aswell. Did a compression check that came out good...

I shined light in each one and could not see any light come through anywhere. So I don't think they are leaking

Someone said possible Barrs leak in coolant. Possible?? And yes the sled has been in and out of a heated shop a few times.

Coolant in sled is brownish green, I took some out and put it in a clear water bottle and left it over night and it didnt seperate. The oil has no coolant in it. It has a smell like syrop kinda. So i drained it all and am flushing the cooling system. Gonna put all new coolant in and see...

Now I'm at the point where I feel the engine is labouring.Put new plugs in, checked all the coils, checked for codes, TPS is fine. I'm lost!! no air sound any longer...just a rough sounding engine.

Just don't sound smooth now so I replaced the plugs...no dice. Gonna check coil packs tonight. Not so much of a air sound now that all body panels are off and I changed the donuts. I did see a little wetness in one cylinder when I removed the flex pipes.

Sound is coming from engine area...engine just sounds louder, noisier. Possibly not air sounding so much now that I went back out to the garage for another listen. Just sounds not right and a little louder. I'm stumped

Well the fuses are good on both machines. The gps will work in my truck but not on both sleds. Am I overlooking something for both machines to not work??

Im sure you could rebuild it yourself. Just look at the exploded view on a OEM yamaha parts site. Looks very simple. clean it up replace probably the brushes and brush terminal maybe a o ring or two and your done. Cleaning everything up is prolly most of the problem and possbly a few parts.
