I wonder if you apply loctite and put it back together and allow the loctite to cure and then when you remove stub shaft the ring would stay in stub shaft
I have had a similar noise once on mine once after assembly and it was dry cogs with a dry track. I sprayed wd40 on the drive cods and on the track and ran the sled on the lift and my noise went away. Worth a shot!
That’s kinda how I do it too. I use a floor jack on blocks on the ground at the front of the suspension so the jack is above the rails of the sled lift and start jacking up the front until hooked on the shaft and then I lift the rear to slide a second jack under the back and jack the rear until...
I have the PM tune bundle from TD and have run the max pump 17 some of the time. It is a noticeable difference over the power trail. These sleds really become animals over 17psi and a lot of fun on the trails. I do run run the 3 bar, cold air intake, Bov so I’m not sure on the 2 bar.
The only...
It took me awhile to find it but I didn’t know what I was looking for. Then I noticed the two sprockets didn’t line up to each other in one spot. It was off by about an inch
Also check your track drive sprockets. I landed on a rock jumping over a hill hard and had a vibration over 30 mph. It bent one of the drive sprockets and cracked the drive shaft between the two drive sprockets (didn’t see the crack in the drive shaft during the repair) and the drive shaft...
I used permatex ultra black on mine and a buddy of mine used red high temp silicone on his and both seem to holding on. I would think as long as it can resist oil residue and some heat you should be good
Jason
I didn’t end up getting it off unfortunately. I tried to file all the grooves to help and also tried a homemade puller but decided to stop before I broke something and I also ran out of time as he wanted his sled back. I was just trying to service the bearing while I had the sled in my garage so...
I will have to take a look at my clutches and see if I can see any black marks on the sheaves. I am also running HH but with the TP orange primary and I'm set up with 1/4" and 3/4" Allen in heel, 3/8 steel with 1 thick washer in middle and there 1/2" steel bolt with 1 thick washer in the tip...
Sorry to here about your drive shaft bearing jonlafon1. But good catch before to much damage hopefully. How did the TP orange secondary spring perform for you at 6/3? How is the clutch temps? I have been playing with my TP orange spring also with the 8dn belt and dalton 38 helix. I started with...
Looking for some suggestions, I’m tying to remove the brake rotor to get at the drive bearing on a friends 2014 viper. I first tried to remove the whole assembly all in one piece by removing the 3 bolts from the backside like I was able to do with my sidewinder but that didn’t work so then I put...
I believe the srx comes with a reverse helix 35/39. So start angle is the same as stock but then finish’s with the higher angle. So the low end feeling may not change over stock . But because it will have a 39 finish you will have to take some weight out to reach your peak rpm once into the...
My center to center is 262mm. I have my offset set at 61mm with only 1 washer behind the secondary. It seems to blow a belt about every 400miles. Clutches are really hot! Was running the full TP clutch kit . Got Temps down a bit running the TP orange at 30 deg. Put the stock secondary set up...
I now have the full TP big venom kit with 33/35, TP orange secondary set at 3-2 installed on my LTX LE but haven't been able to test RPM's yet. Do to a lack of snow. How many grams does it take to raise or lower 100RPM .
Thanks, Jason
I have a stock ltx le and I'm going to be installing the thunder products clutch kit and I've also picked up the dalton 35/39 helix that I will also shim. For those that are running these 2 together have you had to change the weights at all for this helix?
Thanks, Jason
