    oil leak

The front one is the drain hose for any minor oil residue from breather and/or moisture. It just hangs, doesn't hook to anything. There should be another one at the back/top of the airbox that needs connected too. If all the hoses are hooked up correctly, and it's still puking oil like...

    oil leak

You need to have the airbox hooked up, and all the little lines/hoses too. You can't run it like that, or it'll blow all the oil out.

    Seized motor??

Sounds like the starter is fried. That's worst case, but sounds like it. Make sure the battery cables are tight. Make sure battery is fully charged. Look for corrosion on the starter relay, they are known for that. Start simple 1st. Turn the key on, and try jumping it across the relay...

    oil leak

You don't have a breather hose connected or connected incorrectly. That's the only reason it would be pumping the airbox full of oil.

    Trouble starting and high idle

IAC is probably dirty. Take it out, clean, try it. Or just buy a new one and put it in.

    06 RS Vector

Yeah, stay away. 1. That gen of Vector has well known possible timing chain tensioner failure. Well, known to us on here, average idiot selling one either doesn't know, or is playing dumb when asked. 2. Known for a weak and/or failed stator. 3. Old "sit down style" seating position. Not...

Venture RS oil in air box

You are correct @thrasher that if the lines aren't hooked up properly it will pump oil out into the airbox resulting in a giant azz mess & possibly wreck the engine once it's starved of oil, but that's only because the vacuum lines & hoses aren't hooked up properly, oil definitely does not...

Venture RS oil in air box

Whoa, whoa, whoa here.... Oil DOES NOT, I repeat, DOES NOT flow through the airbox. The hoses are for crankcase pressure evacuation/breather. Same as a gasoline powered car/truck/suv. Crankcase pressure vapors are exhausted back into the air intake tract where they are sucked in by the...

06 Rs Rage : Worth this asking price?

Look VERY closely at the front skid arm, or "W" arm. They are prone to cracking if ridden hard(abused), or ridden by a very heavy rider.

06 Rs Rage : Worth this asking price?

Yeah, he's nuts. Maybe that's the wife wants me to sell them price?? Yes, I'm right there with ya, that's a $2500 sled. Don't care how clean or low mileage it is. They aren't desirable, seating position sucks, again, possible timing tensioner issue. Oh, and that era also had a weak...

06 Rs Rage : Worth this asking price?

Seller is out of his peasized brain mind. Furthermore, that's the era of 973cc engines that suffer from timing chain tensioner failure (2005-2007) And I'm sure it's never been updated to the new style. Stay away from it.

    Seat

I believe you're talking/thinking of King Blunder, Enterprises which is closer to Ft. Atkinson than JVL, but yes, they have a ton of parts there. I've bought from them. Ok to deal with. Prices are a little steep on certain items.

Got my first four stroke sled

Syncing the carbs is an absolute MUST do after having them off & apart. Otherwise you'll never get a smooth consistent idle in the range it's supposed to be. 1,200-1,400rpms hot. Not to mention absolute peak power from the engine.

    07 attack or 2011 apex?

Get the 2nd gen. They are far more refined. And a 128 vs 136 is negligible as far as trail riding.

    08 Vector doesn't like snow??

2 digit. Google yamaha vector fault code list. Yes, either it's binding, not adjusted correctly or the bearing on the speedo sensor is shot. That will set tors off also

    08 Vector doesn't like snow??

There's a fault code flashing, or solid showing along with that red light. The red light doesn't come on by itself without a code. Find the code and report back or look it up yourself. I'll almost bet it's code 84, TORS.
