Flange repair plan
I have had issues of the flange on the y-pipe cracking as well.

I had a machine...
Removing paint from tunnel
Can you provide in detail the products used to remove the paint, clean up the scratches and finally buff.
I have an 2006 Apex GT I would like to polish the tunnel.
Did you do anything to the plastic shrouds surrounding the engine.
Has anyone tried painting in...
Has anyone extended the tunnel on an Apex using Attack/Apex LTX parts.
I would like the snow flap to be further away from the track, similar to the 136 in track. I am not extending the track. My issue is every time I back up the snow flap is grabbed by the track, shredded when moving forward...
Apex Kill Switch
Yamaha does sell the red kill switch button separately now.
Not listed within the standard parts schematics.
It is special order. I purchased on in the fall of 08 for $20 CDN.
I am in the process of upgrading all idler and suspension wheels on a 2006 Apex GT - 4250 miles.

My question is this:

thechamp1
I recently had a tree branch pull the red kill switch button off my Apex GT.
Snapped it in half.
Understand that the RX1 kill switch button is interchangeable.
Can the red button be sourced without having to order the entire right hand lever assembly.
At the very least just the kill switch.
2006 Apex GT
I recently had an incident where a tree branch pulled the red kill switch button out of the right hand throttle assembly. The button is broken in half.
All I require to replace is the red pop up button or the electric switch, wiring and button.
Dealers stating I cannot order...
Loose Steering
Thanks for the comments.
I was able to find within the forum a good solution fix.
It appears even with new plastic bushings and the metal insertion there is still too much play.
I replaced the two of the three connections, but prior to installing, using emery cloth, standed...
2006 Apex GT
I purchased a used 2006 Apex GT this fall with 1600 miles.
First time owner of a Yamaha product.
Individual had replaced the pivot arms at that time.
I have put on an additional 800 miles. The front pivot arm has shattered and the Ohlin EC shock is now requiring revalving.

I have had a similar problem with the wiring at the Ohlins EC rear shock being ripped off.
I am in the process of replacing the solenoid rubber cap and wiring.
The replacement part only provided one electrical connector.
I would like to avoid having to replace the entire cable or the cutting...
Apex GT Snow Flap
I experienced a smilar problem with my 2006 Apex.
The light aluminum that the snow flap is attached to eventually tore off.
I lost the flap and metal 3 weeks ago. Found it last weekend after the trail groomer shredded the remaining metal more. Old flap can be salvaged. Need...
I have a 2006 Apex GT with 2400 miles.
Steering play either way is at least 1 inch each way.
It is to the point of affecting steering on straight runs at higher speeds.
Can you provide me with the process of wheer to start checking for worn or loose compoments within the steering assembly...
Ohlin parts
Can the two short wires that lead to the EC shock be easily removed and replaced. Replacement part. Or is the fix reconnecting the broken wires (solder). I would like to replace the part without taking the shock off.
