I use sledstarts kits and Kurt has always advised me to pull the shield completely off. Worked great on my attack and works great on the Viper!!

Hmm...I didn't even scroll down far enough in the mountain sleds to see that one! So there's my 2.25" track stock then. I think the 40-42" adjustable front end would be ideal also. So, what's going to make this thing handle different than the xtx on the trail?

Another thought if I go xtx was just to swap for a 2-2.25" track...

Hey guys, looking for some help here...trying to decide between a viper xtx or Mtx. I would say 75% of my riding is off trail UP and the rest trail riding northern WI. I'm 250 lbs plus and 6'3", so throwing the little extra length around on the trail doesn't bother me much, especially coming...

I believe the fuel screws are plugged...I'm not sure I've seen any 3-cylinder carbs that aren't plugged really. I may try the other pilot jets and just see if that will do it if it's worked for some. So Metallicat, you just live with yours idling like that??

Did that too...spot on!! It's really got me stumped... I haven't looked into changing the pilot jets yet...

A friend of mine has a RS Nytro, and it's not running quite right at idle...it has a little 'flutter', or 'hiccup' every few seconds. It's almost like a momentary miss on one cylinder. We have been through the carbs, new plugs, swapped coils, and I just replaced the exhaust dognuts last night...

There are four bolts that are tucked in behind the bulkhead and I don't see any way of getting to them without rolling the motor forward...???

Sled Dog, you are telling me it is the starter clutch then?? 100%?? Looking at it, it sure looks like I need to pull the motor!! No way the right side of that motor is coming off through the frame...unless I'm missing something!! Will check out your threads!! Thanks!!!

I am working on an '06 Rage for a friend of mine that won't start. The starter turns ( we can hear it ), but it doesn't crank the motor 100% of the time. It has slowly gotten worse, when it started, it would just disengage momentarily, but would eventually still start. It is to the point now...
