Looks great! I just emailed Phil about my viper. I'm in canada like he is so should be a bit cheaper. Do you mind me asking you what yours cost?

Looks like your a trendsetter. Yamaha announced that they will be partnering with Elka to use their Stage 5 shocks on their Crosscountry and Hillclimb sleds. Congratulations!

I just put LakeEffect Risers on both my sleds. Send me a PM if your interested. Black riser with red caps top and bottom, one 7" & one 8" riser. The center bar has provisions for a ball mount for your GPS.

Yeah, I just read that yesterday! Sounds pretty cool....I beat the Yamaha Race Team to it! :)

I was looking at your LakeEffect Riser! Looks really sweet. Earlier in the summer I installed the Black Arctic Cat riser, but I think I only went up 1" from stock, so 6.5". I could probably use another 1/2" - 1". I really like the ball mount on yours for the GPS. I ended up buying a Ram mount and mounting my GPS from the same location. Now I need to decided if I go to the 7" or 8" LakeEffect Riser or just wait it out and ride first and then decide. Decisions!

You could ride over here and try ours, however, it's about 8 hours by car and you will have to cross the Big Mack Bridge on a trailer. LOL

I like the 7" on the wife's a lot so ill probably adjust mine a bit "rotate back a little" much easier to stand with the taller riser.

Did you change rear torsion springs when you went to the Elka's? I can't remember, definitely a case of CRS!

I was certainly thinking about doing it, but then decided upon trying the Elka's first to see how it rides. With full gear, I'm about 225, so I want to try it first. I don't think I'll need to do the torsion springs, but hey, you never know. I just know having the Elka's will be 10X better than the stock valving we had.

How do you like the hindle exhaust? Will it effect the engine by putting this exhaust on?

I put the Hindle exhaust on in the Spring and haven't had the chance to drive the sled with it on yet. I expect a few more HP as well as about 200 additional RPM. Sweet looking exhaust, that's for sure!

I purchased a pair of Elka Stage 5 shocks for the front of my wife's Viper, they should be here in two weeks. I think they will reduce fatigue while trail riding on some of the long rides (100+ miles) we do weekly when the weather permits.

That is one lucky wife!!! She's going to love them. I couldn't believe how well they performed for me last year. On top of that, I never had a sore wrist or even a sign of anything last year. The year before with my Fox Evol RC2's, my wrists were so sore after a ride that it took a good week for it to go away. Enjoy the new Stage 5's!
