Finally got a chance to go out for 2 whole days! Here is our garage meeting a few days before the ride to collect information and scope out maps figure out where exactly we are heading. Some XTX porn one of the guys riding the net day's Apex not riding with us this weekend but some nice shots of his sled.
So here we are Saturday morning got sled outside warming up heading over to buddy's house for some breakfast.
Starting odometer in KM's
Got to buddy's house I was so hungry I forgot to snap a picture of the bacon and eggs he made!
Looking at iPad app for Quebec Trails finalizing the trail plan. So we leave Cornwall and go to Alexandria where we connect with FCMQ trails head over to Rigaud Qc. Cross the river at Rigaud the Ottawa river and head towards Lachute Quebec. From Lachute we go to Lac des seize iles for lunch. Then off to St Agathe des monts and then to St donat where we planned on staying the night. The next day we would go back around a loop to go home via Duhamel and Pine hill cross the Ottawa river back at Montebello and then home through Alfred, Bourget for lunch and home through Monkland.
Here is our first break at Alexandria trails were great! Even though we have not hit Quebec trails yet.
We made it to the Ottawa river at Rigaud just after filling with gas. The Quebec trails were incredible. As soon as we touched them was like heaven! The start of the Qc trails were long very long open field with very hard pack groomed trails. The renegade hit top seed of 110 MPH my Apex 116MPH! I passed him on the trails. Needless to say we were both impressed.
Another shot
We were heading towards Lachute Qc after the river crossing and we got turned around somehow....instead of going up through Lachute we ended up going through trails in Pine Hill up towards Harrington Qc... Trails were superb so we weren't' too worried about it as we have been on those trails before and were familiar with them. On our way to Lac des seize iles for lunch regardless just a 50km scenic detour! Perfect day nice shot of the forest mountains.
This is all the same area took 5 pictures I am telling you one of the most beautiful area's I have ridden I will take anyone who wants to go there just to show them the trail beauty.
Trails are so nice I put the GoPro on at this point and I will be editing all my videos over the summer stay tuned for video uploads Murse20 on YouTube haha!
We crossed a lake we recognized and then 2 more we did not so we started to question if we were heading in the right direction to get to Seize iles.
Sure enough we were 2 lakes to far and had to back track 15 km's it was 1pm we were late for lunch hand getting hungry. The human GPS failed LOL.
So we made it to a little marina on the lake at Lac Des Seize iles for lunch for a much deserved pizza!
We left Seize iles after eating and started to head towards St agathe des monts to get to St donat where we just called ahead to reserve a room. We get down the trail and realize there are no signs that say St agathe.... We stop some friendly snowmobilers who tell us that they were heading to the exact place as us and that the trail is closed to get there! There is a land owner dispute in Howard something in Quebec. Anyway trail was closed so we had to get creative without getting lost. We kept moving until we got to here a familiar place! It is a paintball field that looks amazing in Tremblant. We are way off from our original plan but the trails are awesome so we truck on!
Same spot just some nice back round. Starting to snow an inch or 2 of fresh powder on great groomed trail.
We decided to try and make it home which would be a 700km day which is what we did last year and said to ourselves we would never to it again. We passed a hotel in Lac Simon decided to eat supper there and stay the night. We were tired! Watched Ottawa Senators Vs Toronto hockey game and had a few beers at the hotel. It snowed all night!
Ending Odometer Day 1 of 2.
415 km's for day one.

Day 2: After a good night sleep we wake up to 5 inches of fresh snow on perfectly groomed trails. Buddy turns to me and said enjoy the next 2 hours because we will never see better trails in our lives. Sure glad we stayed the night.
Lac Simon is a beautiful place and I heard it is a great destination for cottagers in the summertime as well.
Packed up and ready to head home. Plan is to go through Lac Simon to Montebello cross Ottawa river to Bourget Ontario for breakfast then off to Osgoode through Winchester to Morrisburg then back to Cornwall.
We crossed the Ottawa river perfect day fresh snow the river had 6 or more inches of fresh powder. I started doing donuts on the ice and snow with the Apex around the Renedade haha! He asked me if I was warming up the sled for a race? So we took off drag race full stop. I thought the Renegade would have the advantage in the powder but I got the jump! At about 100MPH he started to pass me. Disadvantages of a 121 track I guess lol
First stop in Alfred Ontario
Stopped at a place in Bourget called Chez Phillias for breakfast at about 10 am. Delicious! Beautiful spot.
Another stop getting to Winchester starting to get real tired the trails in Ontario are no where near what they should be. Very rough and we are starting to get real beat up.
One of many Vipers we say over the weekend. Sharp looking sleds, I even saw 1 snopro ctec 4 in orange. Pretty sharp too!
Ending odometer for the 2 days: 735 km's

Another 2 day trip planned this week Thursday and Friday. Trailer saddlebag this time

Took my sled from my place to father in laws the day before our trip and the trails were awesome. We decided not to travel and do local trails for 2 separate days instead to take advantage of the perfect weather locally. di 116MPH on the way there. Nice sled
Ending odometer after the little trip from place to place and starting Odometer for this days trip.
In the driveway ready to go warming the sleds up. Plan is to go From Cornwall to Prescott the into smiths falls up to Osgoode for lunch back through Chesterville to go back home.
We left and the gade was on the gas light we did 50kms or so and he ran out of gas! lol luckily he has the linq jerry can with fuel in it.
Just about in Prescott Ontario in #1Apexriders neck of the woods.
Was a cold morning but lots of snow and the trails were great!
On the way up North to Osgoode we hit this really long old railway bed 120kph the whole way she got cold fast lol
Some more bush riding where we get to move more get warmer.
Stop for a pee break and a sign check make sure we are going the right way. Trails have changed a lot since 2 years ago.
After lunch we got into the pines!
Some really nice trails very surprised how nice they were for local OFSC trails
Supper?
Last break of the day in Moose Creek. My attempt at a sunset picture trying to replicate MileageQuests Picture taking skills not sure if it is the same
Planning last leg of the day.
Ad for my preferred Yamaha dealer.
End of the day celebration in the Garage Bar.
Ending Odometer for the day not bad for local! Great day.

Day 2 we decided to invite a few guys along. 6 of us going out local trails again but this time opposite side of the map. Leaving Cornwall going to Hawksbury Lunch in Montebello Quebec and then back down through Bourget then Alexandria through Martintown then home.
Meeting everyone at the intersection getting the group together.
We stopped for fuel in Alexandria on the way to hawksbury. One of the sleds runners was bent had to borrow tools from a local garage to change it on the trail! Worked out well with minimal delay. We rode hard and fast for a bigger group and made it to Hawksbury in record time!
The old Yammy tank kept up with these selds just fine We were all discussion here how 2 strokes smell and the best guy to follow is a 4 stroke.
The parking lot for lunch haha! Montebello Quebec
Healthy nutritious and according to the wife's diet lunch haha awesome. Tasty too. One of the guys asked me if I took a picture of my lunch I said yes. I explained to him that I was in a mileage contest on a TY4. The guys laughed at me but I don't care I want to win!
We went into the town of Bourget for gas as most of us were on the gas light turns out the gas station shut down and no longer exists :s running low on fuel who was going to run out first?
The Yamaha Wins! Running out of gas first......Usually get 200kms at least to a tank today got 185. We were running exceptionally hard and fast that day so I guess that accounts for it....
Saved by a Skidoo!
Twice now we use the handy linq jerry can it sure comes in handy!
The 600 skidoo ran out of gas shortly after me just before the gas station haha worked out well though that can saved the day.
What a great day the weather was perfect was not too cold the trails were freshly groomed with minimal traffic. We had a great ride with no problems considering there were 6 sleds.
Ending odometer.
Getting to 20000km's! Pretty soon. Leaving for Dominican today so won't be a while before another ride. 8 day trip going for a wedding. From snow to beach

Started off the day with this on odo.
Haven't been out in a few weeks it has been a very busy winter...
Look at that beast just begging to go out. I sat fir 2 weeks in the cold and she fired right up!
Out with the good old father in law he just did a 7 day trip so that day was his 8th day in a row sledding. He went from 0km's on his sled to 8000 and the winter is not over yet.
Stop for lunch in Hawksbury Ontario
Don't know if you can see it but made a friend on the trail. LOL a really loud squirrel.
The trails were awesome with an inch or 2 of fresh powder. Really good local season this year especially since last week we had a whole day of rain and mild weather.
A little dam to cross pretty cool spot in Chesterville Ontario.
Sunset pic had a nice and easy day on the trails. Good ride.
313 km's at the end of the day.
Lots of snow build up in the running boards good loose snow out there that day in the fields.
My dad the puppy sitter while I ride the snowmobile lol she seems to have had a rough day on the farm.

A small local ride with my father in law and my wife! She comes out once a year so it is always a treat. She rides pretty good for a one timer.
Starting OD for the day
Gasing up trails were pretty good.
Daughter and Dad
What a beautiful warm day temps were around 0 could not have asked for better. Great day for the wife as she is allergic to cold and would not have come out if it was colder.
Pretty busy day on the trails.
A nice stop for lunch to fuel our bodies and let the wife warm up. I was very proud to be riding with her that day nice n easy with a big smile on my face.
The wife and I
Almost at then end of our day she was getting tired.
Sunset pic!
Ending mileage for the day around 200km's not bad for a warm day.
the next trip we headed off to Mont Laurier QC a 3.5 hour drive from our place headed for a 2 and a half days trip the snow was everywhere.
The comfort inn in Mont Laurier QC
Lots of machines, sleds, 4 wheelers and side by sides. Quebec is off road vehicle country.
Hey Ma! We can see our truck from the tv!
We started bright and early there are 2 other guys with us all skidoo machines, 13 Renegade, 12 MXZ Etec and a }GSX 4 stroke
Starting OD
Gas and Go
WE got onto the trails and they were amazing really well groomed with about 2-3 inches of fresh loose powder. What beautiful trails and country side.
Nice shot of some nice machines.
First stop a place to gas up stay overnight if needed and to buy some beaver mitts. 180$ Warmest mitts you will ever have. The doo guys have em but I was plenty happy with my yamaheater.
Very nice place if we were going to stay but it was only 10 am!

Fresh snow everywhere! Could not have asked for better. A lot of traffic up north but there was plenty of snow for everyone. The groomer cut about 2 feet to the hard pack snow and if you stepped foot off the hard pack you sank about 4 feet deep. There is so much snow over there!
There was a lot of fresh snow that day and not a stop sign in sight nor roads to cross. Honestly nicest trails I have ever been on. The 137" tracks were doing well that day.
The more experienced guys checking the maps on iPhones.
So we stopped in Manawan for gas this had to have been one of the sketchiest places to stop it is a native reserve there were rabid dogs and children everywhere. The gas station we filled out had bars on the windows, doors and around the actual gas pumps! Yikes. We had a chocolate bar and got out of dodge as one of the guys was really uncomfortable there. We had a good laugh!
On our way to our destination to stay overnight St michel des saints.
Again the scenery we stopped to take in the view. Here is a hotel lodge where they do massages and spa treatments.
We got to our hotel condo and of course no day is complete without someone getting stuck!
Our condo for the night.
Ending OD for the day. 390km day not too shabby.
Getting close to 20000
Day 2 we wake up to go from -6 to -20 for the day eeeek sleds were hard starting but no issues with anyone.
Just admiring my ride. Could not believe the trails, the guys all said that they are usually pretty beat up on a Sunday. We got on the main trail and they were freshly groomed the whole ride. Wow the view and the ride on that trail was amazing! I have Gopro vids to edit and will post them soon when I get them done right.
Some cool bear claw marks on this tree.
Again its not a ride without someone getting stuck.....doh!
So we got back to our original hotel in Mont laurier just shy of 200k 2 of the guys were tired so they packed and went home. My father in law and I were good to go soo we decided to head over to devils mountain for some additional miles. Sure glad we did what a view at 2500ft! Nice climb too!
Nice restaurant at the top of the mountain.
I'm the king of the world!
Did some touring and still were on amazingly well maintained trails.
Time to pack her up and head home.
Ending OD for the day.
Ending total OD I did it! Over 20k!
A few days after getting home I went for a short last ride by myself on icy local trails just to add a little extra to beat mileagequest. did I win?
Ending Odometer for the season. Good luch to fellow tyers on their mileage and happy riding! Best year I have had so far.
