What's the best way to clean exhaust residue of the back of the tunnel?
My '07 Mountain Lite has a brown "V" shaped stain that seems almost baked on behind the spare belt holder. Degreaser doesn't seem to want to remove it.
Any suggestions on the best way to get this off?

well it is that or you will have to buff it off. i use the hand pump spray on stuff and it gets rid of the carbon residue from exhaust.

I seem to remember some two-stroke chainsaw guys using Easy Off on cylinders where the piston had started to melt down and left aluminum smeared on the cylinder wall. Apparently the chemicals in the oven cleaner worked to dissolve or at least soften the aluminum, so you may want to try it on a test piece first, just to make sure it's not going to do more harm than good.
