Console Knee Pads

aluminum rivets i used. i dont know the techical name. but the explosion ones

I drilled the foam out on the pads itself so the rivet would go far enough in the pad and also used aluminum rivets.

I have some miles on these knee pads and don't really like them. They don't mount far enough out so your knees rest on the outside of the pad. Ordered a pair of skinz protective gear pads

i never had to drill anything. just used an air riveter. worked great

I was gonna put a set of the skinz on mine till I found out they wanted the same price as the knee pads themselves to ship them to Canada... Is there anybody up here in Canada that has knee pads and could give some advice on where to get them?

Installed a set of yamaha ones tonight, what a PITA!!! The holes were to big from the factory for the plastic rivets. Ended up using 1/4" aluminum rivets. Reviews on the skins would be cool if anyone has some miles on them.

I took off the Yamaha knee pads as they didn't line up for me at all. My knees were hitting the outer edge and/or outside the edge. I switched to the Skinz knee pads and here is a pic. Easy install.

put on about 25 miles today with the skinz knee pads. absolutely love them. they stay put with the Velcro, just heated the plastic and the Velcro before install with a heat gun to ensure a good bond. your knees will thank you.
