All I can say is that this kit is all that was promised --and MORE !
I went with Stage 2 with Stock Exhaust muffler mod, PC5 with
adjustable boost on the fly from stock to 240+ HP !
This sled was clutched and tested by owner Aaron of Excell
Motorsports--who is by the way, a great guy to deal with .
Aaron is passionate about the sport , a master tuner and racer,
and runs a top notch dealership just south of Utica NY.
Sled is nearly quite as stock , it flat out hauls the mail. He has fixed issues
with the stock clutching gremlins and has a well tested clutch setup that offers
better backshift than stock.
Being able to adjust the HP from 205-240 "on the fly" with a quick turn of the dial is
priceless. If you are mostly a trail rider , but want to turn it up for the lake
or Autobahn trail straightaways--just turn the knob and hold freak'in on.
This kit is proven with Many happy users out there.
Aaron had a well known Quebec dealer run 1800 miles on the Stage 2 kit and he was
so impressed he ordered 10 more kits for his dealership last week.
For you guys thinking about options for turning up the wick for your Sidewinder,
its worth giving Excell consideration .

Yours is also an LTX-LE.
Any idea what you were getting for mpg before and after the mod?
Your kit included the mod on your stock muffler and you say it is still quiet.
Have you heard any winders with his muffler for the extra 10 ponies. How much louder then stock would you say if so?
Very neat being able to just take everything off in future for resale!

Definitely peaks an interest. Do they have a Stage 3 or any future tunes coming?
Other trail kits are now in the 270 - 280 HP range. Multiple Map downloads and Bluetooth compatible.

Excell muffler 10 Db higher than stock--as i recall-- heard it for a few wide open passes, definitely no much louder than stock.
It comes down to individual preference.
As to 10 ponies--when your at 240+ an extra 10HP is not going to be any game changer, IMO The clutch is what rules here

Thanks for posting about your mod, I do like hearing about the different mods that are out there, their highlights and downfalls both.

Looks like a slick setup. How does one clutch this kit? It must be clutched to run very low rpm's at stock like levels so it won't over rev at the 240hp setting.

You clutch for the max.. lug the weight slightly at less power.. just like multi stage flashes have done for years

And yes he believes belt life can suffer at higher rpms so keeps near stock
