I purchased a 2009 venture lite a month ago and was wondering if they have the same issue as my 2007 apex and 2009 venture gt had with the fuel pump relay?

Yep. Replace it with the red solid state relay.

I think they only did it under the original manufacturer warranty at the time. And for the cost, is it really worth the hassle of the argument?

I honestly can't remember and apparently changes position, probably depending on who put it together at the factory. IIRC, it is either second or third in the top row. Best way is to feel it click when you turn the key. It will be the one that will click twice when you turn the key (once to preime and then off).
