odometer reads right

Just boght a new vector last spring. Last year rode a polaris 800. My buddy rode an apex. My speedo was slower than his but the odometer on long rides were right on. With-in a few 1/10's of each other.

now i can finally comment

ridden very hard 12 us
ridden hard 16 us
trail riding 18 us

i am sure if the conditions were perfect i could get
over 20

1600 miles so far and i usually get 20 canadian, or 18 us

:jump:

Average while trail riding was about 20 mpg. What I noticed was compared to mileage from gps the odometer was about 6 miles high for each aprox 120 traveled.

13 mpg imperial (11 mpg US), definitely not what I was hoping for. 102 miles on 34.85 litres. It was a lot of hard pushing in fresh powder, plus I'm 300 lbs so I'm sure that doesn't help. We'll see how it does on the trails/hard pack.

Ride 3 Dec 22

I have over 200 miles on now and it is awesome! Went 85 miles, haven't filled up yet, only issue is the tunnel icing up. From what I hear it's a common Yamaha trait. The torque of this engine is unreal, pulls everywhere!! 100 more miles to go before I can drive it! I am very pleased with the triple cylinder 4 stroke
Miles on trip: 86
Type of riding: Fast trail/playing in powder
litres of gas used: 24
MPG: 16.28

As of this trip I have 206 miles and have used 49.96 litres = 18.72 MPG for the average
1st ride 50 miles 10.5 litres=21.64 mpg
2nd ride 70 miles 15.46 litres=20.58
3rd ride 86 miles 24 litres =16.28 mpg

Similar mileage to a Rev 600 sdi

Went for a ride with a buddy last night. He has an 04 600 sdi. I was leading, riding on a not-so groomed and very bumpy trail. We averaged 60 - 70 mph and I always was waiting for him for a minute or two when we stopped. I weigh 50 lbs more than him as well. He got 18 mpg and I got 16.5 mph (both imperial). I was fairly happy with that. Last year on a few trips he was getting 20 - 23 mpg, so I don't think we should be too far apart when we're driving the same. FYI - MPH & miles travelled were very close, less than 2 mph off and distance travelled was only 1 mile difference over 80 miles.

I have a 2006 RS Venture that I just purchased used with 1200 miles on it and was guarenteed 19mpg but am only getting 15-16. I drive between 25-60mph. Any thoghts/

There are a couple of factors right off the top: Snow conditions, and use of power.

If I keep my sled around a 6,000 rpm range right now I'm getting around 20 mpg. The trails are also starting to firm up. With loose snow I was seeing 17 mpg.

Hope this helps! ;)!

milage

08 ltx i never try figure it out i just add gas. some of the guys figure i was getting 18 plus and that was mostly trail some smooth and ruff. with a little deep playing and a couple drags...lol

I'm consistently getting 12mpg (2005 RS Vector). Have 1500 miles, and mileage has always been poor (compared to what others are reporting). Has anyone else dealt with this? Thinking about brining it into the dealer...

Not broken in yet (133 miles). First fuel up @ 83 miles, 5.1 gallons (16.2 mpg). 2nd fuel up @ 5o miles, 3.1 gallons (16.1 mpg). Looking Good!! ;)!

06 venture & vector gas mileage

The Venture has 1500 miles logged and averages 19 mpg

The vector has 600 miles and averages the same 19 mpg

Both are 06's with the 973 engine

just picked up the 08 Vector GT 40th on saturday and went out for a break in ride taking it easy at around 30mph and we went about 75 mi and got about 17.5 on the first tank WOW coming off a firecat to this is golden :yam: :4STroke:
