I started up each sled and wife's zr started dripping coolant . My viper did the same last season and it was a loose gear clamp on one of the hoses in a shitty spot to get at just checked the zr and it's at the same spot.I'm not as lucky this year the gear clamp bolt head is facing the bottom
Then I started mine ran perfect than shut it off and found 2 ball bearings on the ground between the 2 sleds
They measure . 200 " guessing a idler wheel bearing
I guess I'm rippen them apart again

Is it possible that they are from something else? Idler bearings would be in a cage of some sort as would most bearings.

At least you found them during Pre Mtce, and not out on the snow!
Be sure to post up the results. Good luck!

Pstn Head I nominate you for Viper Mechanic of the Month! Post a pic of you and your sled. Going to make this a tradition. That was brilliant and I am sure any of us who have been in Yamamarc's shoes know the sinking feeling when finding a part laying on floor after job is done. These are the nightmares you lose sleep over. Especially a bearing! Have to remember this one. Thank You for helping.

I'm honoured to be "Viper Mechanic of the month" I really am, THIS SITE ROCKS !!!!! I would sent a picture but my FRIGGIN SLED NOT IN YET !!!! (Sidewinder RTX LE) and I need that in the picture so I don't scare anyone LOL
But seriously mechanic of the month is a great idea for those really stupid mind boggling mistakes or mysteries when working on our sleds (or anything in that matter) a pic of the sled and rider is also cool !!!
yamamarc I'm glad that was your problem, it happened to me also years ago and never forgot about it, same as you I did a fantastic job prepping the sled for the season took my time spent the whole day working on it and then a FRIKKEN bearing on the floor I noticed when I was cleaning up.
