I started up each sled and wife's zr started dripping coolant . My viper did the same last season and it was a loose gear clamp on one of the hoses in a shitty spot to get at just checked the zr and it's at the same spot.I'm not as lucky this year the gear clamp bolt head is facing the bottom

Then I started mine ran perfect than shut it off and found 2 ball bearings on the ground between the 2 sleds
They measure . 200 " guessing a idler wheel bearing
I guess I'm rippen them apart again

Is it possible that they are from something else? Idler bearings would be in a cage of some sort as would most bearings.

Hope you are right but I always sweep and clean garage floor before doing mtce
I just checked all idlers on both sled again and they are all good
They are small bearings .200 of a inch can't think of anything else that would have a small bearing like that any ideas????

Chain cases were apart in both sleds but all those bearings are bigger

Did you use any mechanic jacks around in your garage, they could be be from those ? :dunno:
Thank you thank you thank you :rocks: if found where they came from!!!!!
After reading your post I checked Jacks and rolling seat and found that it is from my rolling seat

Pstn Head I nominate you for Viper Mechanic of the Month! Post a pic of you and your sled. Going to make this a tradition. That was brilliant and I am sure any of us who have been in Yamamarc's shoes know the sinking feeling when finding a part laying on floor after job is done. These are the nightmares you lose sleep over. Especially a bearing! Have to remember this one. Thank You for helping.

I'm honoured to be "Viper Mechanic of the month" I really am, THIS SITE ROCKS !!!!! I would sent a picture but my FRIGGIN SLED NOT IN YET !!!! (Sidewinder RTX LE) and I need that in the picture so I don't scare anyone LOL
But seriously mechanic of the month is a great idea for those really stupid mind boggling mistakes or mysteries when working on our sleds (or anything in that matter) a pic of the sled and rider is also cool !!!
yamamarc I'm glad that was your problem, it happened to me also years ago and never forgot about it, same as you I did a fantastic job prepping the sled for the season took my time spent the whole day working on it and then a FRIKKEN bearing on the floor I noticed when I was cleaning up.

I have had this happen a few times to me and it was bearings from my move my sled dolly wheels.

Man when I found those bearings I got right stressed out Pstn head you da man ;)!you saved me hours of work if you wouldn't have mentioned that I probably wouldn't have checked that rolling seat and would have taken both sleds apart again!!!! You got my vote for mechanic of the YEAR.... again thanks buddy you made my day:D
