Saw this article and thought I'd share: http://dirtwheelsmag.com/uncategorized/is-ktm-looking-at-the-atv-market-again. They're just some artist's conceptual drawings, but you have to admit it's an interesting idea. The sled version kinda looks like a Phazer. In case the link above fails to work, here's some drawings from the article and a few more I found on other sites. Question for you guys: Would you buy something like this if it was made by a reputable manufacturer?

The rear skid on that orange KTM sled should look familiar to viper owners !
It's amazing what some people can do with photoshop these days. The skis also look like they were pulled from a Cat model. Drawings like this are always fun to imagine what could be, but in taking a closer look it's easy to see lots of issues that would make this concept almost impossible to become a reality as it is currently drawn. The front skid arm for example is way too close the track shaft drivers ... maybe that's why there is no illustrated mounting location for the front arm. The lack of a steering post and tie-rods, exhaust system, jackshaft, etc. are all things that were probably not drawn because they were too difficult to conceptualize into a working ATV/snowmobile. It's still fun to see stuff like this being dreamed up. Creative folks drawing things like this are sometimes the inspiration for a working prototype.
