1358 or wix 51358 is the same as 5GH-13440-20 or the 4 cylinder filter. The Vector 5DM-13440-00 is smaller. Napa had a 7040 that was same flow rate, but smaller like the 5dm. I ordered a yammy filter. Any ideas? Wonder why some guys say the 1358 is for the vector. ...unless you jam it in there??

The only aftermarket that I've found for the 3 cylinder that fits is the Hi- Flo HF147 & the K&N KN147.

Everything else that says it fits, as you just learned the hard way, does not. Too long. They have the correct thread pitch & are correct diameter, but are 1/2"+ too long.

Thanks. The Napa guy compared all the features of the 1358, flow, filtration and came up with a 7040. But I told him Im not gonna be the first to experiment.

I just found a cross reference for the Napa 7040.....and it shows the 5GH 13440 00 00, for yamaha! It is the same small size as the vector filter, but the yamaha number is 5DM...the 5GH is the one I have for the apex, and longer. Hmmmm..

NAPA does not sell a filter that will fit the Vectors. Their parts fiche are wrong. Found out the hard way too.

The 7040 does fit, and cross references with the 5gh, not the 5dm, which is the longer 4 cyl. filter. 7040 is tiny, but inside had a metal cylinder in the center, so I passed even though it had the same flow and filtration as the 5gh. Notice the wix 57040 above the 5gh....wi

x makes napa.

I like the K&N filter. It has a nut on the end so you can use a normal boxed wrench to put it on and take it off instead of a filter wrench.
