I just installed a bender stage II turbo. Sled will only run under a third throttle. Anymore than that and it bogs and seems like it is running too rich. My A/F gauge ussually stays in the middle and will only drop to lean when I let off of the throttle. After about 10 miles of riding I took off the intercooler and there was about 1/2 a litre of fuel in it. My fuel pressure at idle is 3-4 pounds and I pressure tested all of my plumbing and I couldn't find any leaks. I have the stock jetting in the carbs with the needles up 1 clip and
1 3/4 turns on the pilot screws. Any idea's? :o|

I bought the kit used and the guy got rid of the pitot jet and changed it to an adjustable valve. I tried everything from wide open to closed but it didn't seem to make a difference. I had it wide open at first, could that have caused the intercooler to fill with gas?

I'm thinking sticking float needle. Take the air box off and let it run at low RPM and see if any gas is pouring out of carbs.

Also remember that the more open the pitot jet, the leaner. Pitot jet has little or no effect at idle.

Also check and make sure you don't have any slides hanging open.

I checked all of the floats and they seem fine. I think I found the problem. I used two different style "T"s to pressurize the slides and it was causing one set of slides to open right away and the other set would hardly open at all. When I switched to the same style "t" s the floats were even again.

My kit has two lines because the previous owner had an extra fitting put into the intercooler for the second line. When he gave me the kit one of the "T"s was snapped so I replaced it with a different "T" and thats what caused my problems.

Dc5 what size line are you running? 3/8 1/4?

Yea it is nuts i hooked up a psi gauge to mine. (Slides) I had them hooked up like Bender says to. At 4psi two where about 3/4 open the other two where closed! At 12 psi two where open all the way the other two about 1/4" WOW! My sled ran good like this?? I added one more barb to my intercooler and ran two lines now they open the same time! Now i can get this thing jetted right! Can not wait to ride her now. I have some green springs coming so with those i think it will be spot on!

It sounds like a leak (tees most likely) or a screwed up pitot from the mod the previous owner did.

sounds like an air leak problem. make sure the boots from the intercooler and the carbs are tight. I ended up epoxying the boots to the carbs because they kept blowing off under high boost. also the t fittings between the carbs are junk, they crack and break and you can't see it. change them out for the aluminum ones. i just went through the same thing it sounds like. no problems now except holding on
