Bought 2 used 07 Rage GT's, 5500 miles, spotless, engines start and run great. Quiet, but when driving when engine isn't pulling or slowing down they seem to have a high pitch Rattle, none at idle or reving to engagement, only driving with no load on engine, can't tell with helmet which side and too cold without helmet
Thanks for any ideas

Not sure if it is clutch, starts as soon as you are cruising and engine isn't working much,

All sleds have a "sound", and if this sled is new to you, that may just be the sound of your sled. At speed, it won't be your primary clutch making that rattle. May be nothing, but these sleds have lots of track noise, and the exhaust donuts don't last long and the exhaust clamps do come loose as well. Also, as with most sleds, a common problem area is the jack shaft and drive shaft bearings, need to check those.

Well I am pretty sound is normal, ended up buy a 2016 Viper RTX DX, and it has the same noise, but riding yesterday wife rolled the Rage :( but she is ok so that's all that important, came down a steep hill to a right 90 degree corner that was all spun off and was ice, it busted windshield and mirror and speedo plastic, hopefully I can find parts

Well that certainly sucks, but you are right, important thing is your wife wasn't seriously hurt. You never know what trail conditions are like, so it's very important to have an ice ripper track or have it studded to help prevent such surprises on the trail or icy roads. Fortunately, your instrument cluster wasn't damaged, but still going to cost you a few hundred dollars to replace all that broken dash plastic from Yamaha., but buy yourself an after market windshield. Some dash plastics can be purchased after market as well.

x2. same windsheild mask and dash as an rx1. kimpex makes them aftermarket.
