Sidewinder secondary coolant tank question

Hello,

What is the purpose of this tank beside bleeding the cooling system or coolant expansion ? Did someone removed it ? Does it affect cooling ?

I know manufacturer dont put device for nothing but, I would need that space for something else and was wondering if someone already done the removal by only putting a straight line.

You would not want to remove that tank. It is the cooling expansion chamber, it allows coolant to continue to circulate even after you shut your sled down.
