I Will as soon as we actually get some snow here and I can ride it!!!
I'm totally psyched tho because I've been searching for a clean, low mileage Apex MTX for a few years now, and this one has all the right mods that I planned to do anyways, but now don't have to do myself. The stars just alligned and I saw Jeff was selling this sled on the Skinz website and we came to terms. My banks 4.5% for 60 months also helped, I should add, lol!
I wonder, do they finance MCX turbo kits

Well I picked up the sled about a week ago from Jeff @ Skinz. I was pleasantly suprised what great shape the sled came in. Man, this thing is loaded. This was Jeff from Skinz' personal sled, and he installed about every bling-bling part Skinz makes for the Apex onto this sled.
I was also pleased that sled sled only has 920 miles, not the 1200 miles Jeff said the sled had in the add.
First off, had to install the Yamaha tunnel stiffeners. Quick install, just drill some holes and rivet them on!
Despite having no snow, my boy Tyler and I have logged about 2 miles on the sled just driving around in the yard on mostly grass. At first Tyler was mad at my selling the Mountain Viper, but now he likes the MTX so much he has forgotten all about the "old blue sled", and likes the "new blue sled", lol! Oh, and he also thinks the MTX here is the fastest sled made! I told him no, that it's actually better for deeper snow riding and is not a speed, but he told me I was wrong, lol! Damn 4 year olds are funny how they think!
Not knowing what maintenance (if any) had ever been performed on the sled, I have tore the sled down for some pre-season maintenance.
Oil and filter change #1 thing I have to do.
I was a tad perterbed to find appeared to be the stock oil filter in there at 920 miles, but possibly the Skinz guys just installed a stock filter back in there after the 500 mile service, but who knows whether that occured or not. But the oil looked very clean, not bad at all so I really shouldn't jump to conclusions. Oh well, new Amsoil 0w40 in there now!
New Mobil1 filter also installed:
I also changed out the chain case fluid and replaced with Amsoil Chaincase 2000 fluid.
My next projects include new OFT steering bushings, OFT tether/roll over valve, and Slydog Powderhound skis with 8" Triple Points carbides and Scott Bergstrom experimental flotation piece for Powderhounds compliments of the legendary Viper Dave and Mr. Bergstrom -- Thanx Gentlemen!!!!

Looks nice! How is the weight lifting from the rear compared to the attak? I am so tired of my heavy rear end, next year its going under the knife, didn't have time for the yoshi this year.

That Yoshi would be awesome on your sled I think kinger!
But by my initial estimates I'd say the MTX feels waaaaaay light than the Attak by lifting up the rear. But I think this is 2 things: (1) Way lighter skid, and (2) Longer pivot point from the front skis, so the rear end just feels a lot lighter. But I think the Mountain Tamer rear skid is like 30++ pounds lighter than the stock MTX skid.

That is awesome, Im definitly stretching mine next year. How comfy is the seat? Always liked that seat the best and its light as a feather I guess. Never gotten any feedback on it so be anxious for your reviews.
