Main thing is people and laughter while sledding . Always someone leading who actually knows were we are going, group takes care so all arrive safe and usually tired.

Days- eat, laugh, sled, gas/eat ~repeat

What type of riding is entailed? (Trail, off trail, balls out, scenic touring?)

All the above, there's usually a group that suits everyone's riding style, I usually hang with the off trail group, but the most Important thing is we ride safe.

I hang out with the trail group, usually a few of them , some fast some just cruising. No judging just go with people who want to go were you would like at the pace you like.

My first TY Ride was a few years ago and I was not sure what to expect other doing some snowmobiling?? Well there's a lot more to these rides then I expected, As stated above its about meeting and hanging out with other snowmobile enthusiast like yourself. Lots of laughter,Dinners,Lunches,Pool Party's, mixed in with some awesome safe riding to suit anyone's needs.
You wont find a more welcoming group of people to enjoy snowmobiling with than a TY ride!
I ride with Murdered137 in one of the off trail groups where the average speed is about 12mph... Yep pretty slow!
Think of TY Rides as required therapy for your Snowmobiling Addiction. ;)

Thanks for posting dates Mr Sled you can see us for at least 2 ride's for sure and maybe 3 if SnowSquirrel gets to work on some dates. hint hint o_O

Thanks for the responses. That clarifies things a little better. Just wanted to know before a guy could even consider making a trip. I have ridden with lots of people over the years and various styles of riding. Goals and definitions of fun have also changed over time. Unfortunately, I am no spring chicken anymore either and with a new sled coming will probably take awhile to dial in. Wouldn't want to set myself up for disappointment (aka can't keep up or wish I had the skill set I used to, or just be stuck with a different style of riding than I enjoy. )

Those were my thoughts too before I went on my first ty ride, now I can't wait to ride, it's just as much about the friends you ride with as riding.

Age is no excuse......I'll just say SOME of us were born in the 40's (yes, I mean 1940's, not 1840's) and still ride with the off-trail group.........

I actually didn’t necessarily mean actual age. A good portion is probably due to lifestyle and hobbies, such as racing, sledding, etc. :hide:
