I'm Steve, 32- Live in a small town called Malta, IL. I was a member of UAW Local 145 as a production welder at the Caterpillar Aurora facility. I worked my way up to management and now belong to the manufacturing engineering department. My main responsibility is software support/programming tech for over 32 robots in the facility for off-shift production employees. Of our current assets 30 are welding machines by CLOOS, Fanuc, and ABB robotics. We have one oxy- cutting robot and one that is a large material handling machine that scans heat treated parts.
