Yamaha boat engine

This looks a lot like the Viper/Nytro engine, but it has some nice pictures and a good write-up so I thought some of you guys might be interested.

it has the same cc's as the nytro/vector/viper motor does, doesnt say how much hp it will make other than its faster?!? looks like it would be a killer setup to drop in a small 10-14 ft jetboat!

130hp. yamaha dropped their 1,000cc 4 cylinder with 110 hp and replaced it with this in their smaller waverunners. its about time because the 110hp 4 cylinder was gutless. very underpowered in everything they put it in. yamaha discontinued their 21 foot boats with this engine. expect to see a new 21 footer for next yr with this new triple

Had a Yamaha Exciter - 16" with 270 hp (2 135 triple 2S) was a hoot ... would like to see a new small sport boat with that engine - coupled to twin jets .. now have a BRP Sportster with the 155 and it pretty good too and much better on fuel but the single jet isn't as manoeuvrable or as much fun as the twin set up.
