Anyone have experience with both of these? Also if the Hauck lid is run along with fuel accelerator will it outperform the fix lid?? Thanks.

My 06 Attak runs way too rich so the fuel accelerator won't help my sled. I add extra E-85 to my gas to lean it out. My mpg is less but at least the tail pipes are not full of soot.

ramair

Do the k+n's delete the box completely? How much more power vs just lid?? Lastly, a guy on eBay sells lid kit which look pretty nice...flames, stainless steel, etc. Do you think his lid kits make as much power as fix or hauck lids? Or are those kits just for looks? Thanks.

What about Ulmer racings kit? Claims the same increasesbut comes with the best service. Allen is a knowledgeable easy guy to deal with imo.

Ulmer's stealth kit carves out a portion of the bottom of the Apex airbox, widening the intake portion by maybe 3X as big. It works too when accompanied with proper fuel compensating.

But why not take the extra step and add a Ram Air kit to the top, as well as Ulmer's stealth mod on the bottom. All you'd have to do is add more fuel via your pciii, get it tuned right, and viola!

You are better off doing a ram air or the ulmer air box mod. With the k&n's on the apex there to incosistant and you need to tune the sled in day to day to get the performance or you lose hp over stock, thats why ulmer racing never came out with a kit.

I ran Ulmer's mod airbox last year on my attak. There was no noticeable performance difference over stock. Sold it and am now back to stock.

Adding a PCV to the mix made no difference either.

Have you ever put your sled on timers or radar gun.It usually adds about 2 mph in a 1/4 mile.

Ram Air

It says.... "or best offer"........Send an offer

You can get them cheaper. I did !

Oh ya.. That picture he is using on ebay is a pic of my sled. LOL

For me I have a 2011 and they say already lean from the factory. And I have just added the ram air.

So I ordered a programmer from Ulmer to fix all that and make it worth while.

Let you know once it snows :)
