Yeah they do, it's really easy to lose, especially if you don't know it's there!

I'm trying to remember which piece that oring goes on.. One of the gears? Whatever it is, it has a chamfered edge that the oring seats in...
When I had mine apart, that little oring stuck to something, and I only noticed it at the last moment.. And got it back in place.

It looks so new! Lol until it's taken apart a couple times. My little spring that goes between the reverse gears got destroyed. Is this an important piece or can I run without it? I don't have that o-ring either..

That o-ring goes on before you slide on the collar that seals the top of the chain case. My 09 XTX does have that. If you put the chaincase back together without that o-ring installed, a small amount oil will seep out on the top shaft.

Page 4-17 in Nytro FAQ 08 service manual. I would think they would be same.
Doesn't have an actual number for the o-ring but, shows where it goes.

The easy way is to leave it there, and run without the bolt.

Been running without for 2000 miles, I sleep much better knowing the broken bolt is not trying to eat its way through the cover.

I used a drill and an easy out. Came out nicely. Just take your time with it, and it'll go smoothly.
