I have tried to use the search option but I don't know if I am using it properly. I searched for clutch cleaning and a good deal of the threads that come up don't even have anything to do with clutches
Any way, what I would like to know is, What is the best way to clean the primary and secondary clutches. Also, I tried to remove the primary on my wife's attack and it is on there good I have heard that it is not a good idea to use an impact for this, is this true? In the aaen clutch manual it says that an impact wrench is a handy tool to remove the primary. I am confused. Can I use it or not. I have tightend up the clutch puller and have tapped it with a hammer to try and break it loose but I don't want to hit it too hard and damage some thing. How hard can I hit it. Any help would be appreiciated. As far as cleaning should I just wash them with soapy water and rinse completely and thel let dry completely and reinstall.

impact is fine just dont go overboard, if it doesnt free up, tap it with a hammer to loosen it up (when its under pressure)

Use the gun to get it off, and for washing them hot soap water. (Dawn dish soap seem to work the best. The blow them off to get the water out.
