Im buying an apex that has sat for about a year and a half and I was thinking of changing the plugs. I have been reading in the faq section and found alot of people are using NGK cr10ek plugs rather than stock. I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to put some high miles on these plugs and see if there were any negative effects of using them??? How has everyones experience been with these plugs?? Should I go with them or just get some new stock plugs??? Im all about reliability
I have 6000 miles on mine. No problems. The main thing to avoid having any problems is, when you start the sled, let it warm up at least until the heat exchangers get pretty warm before shutting it off. This applies to the stock plugs also.

8,350 miles and never missed a beat!
I would not know if they were an improvement as I put them in on day one of owning the sled?

Are they priced alot higher than the stock plugs?? If its only a few bucks its worth trying. I see alot of guys seam to run them.... Can anyone here say they have felt a difference with the 10's installed over stock???
It's has been verified on a dyno. I believe it's 3 or 4 hp. If you look at some of the site sponsors web sites that sell performance kits, you always see these plugs in there. It's not like you taking a chance on hundreds of dollars, it's around 30-35 dollars and they're proven just as reliable as stock plugs

Yup, sounds like a win win to me. Im gunna get a set.... No sence in taking everything apart to replace plugs and not getting the best you can get... Looks like changing plugs on the apex wont be as easy as my rx-1 was.. Im gunna miss the flip up hoods of the old days.....
So I just need to get 4 NGK cr10ek plugs right?? nothing special I need to tell the guys at auto zone... I know I will need to get some screw on plug caps for them as I heard they don't come with the caps and they are needed on the apex... I have a bin of old plugs I can take 4 caps from im sure.... And thats it, just install and ride????
yep

you have to get the screw on tops from another set of plugs. your stockers wont unscrew. you should also marr the threads up so they wont come undone
