Sled is new to me '06 Apex sled got hot light came on but forgot to notice if the cooling fan kicked in...How can I do a test on it to make sure that it is working......ie unplug cooling temp sensor or something like that...I don't know and want to be sure..........

Use the information on the 2nd photo below to test your fan and your relay. Don't rely on your relay being in the location shown in the diagram. Mine wasn't. Verify you are testing the fan relay by the color of the wires as indicated in the 2nd photo below.

First test your fan by taking a length of wire or even a paper clip and jumping the terminals on the wire harness that mate to 3 to 4 of the relay. With the key in the on position, your fan will spin if it is plugged in and operable. My fan came unplugged from the factory!

If you need to check to see if your fan is plugged into your main harness, the location of the connector is shown in the 1st photo below.

If you suspect something wrong with the harness wires between the actual fan and the relay, you can also test the fan by unplugging it from the harness and testing it directly at its connector. The fan connector wires have the following polarity: Blue/Positive and Black/negative.

Next you can test your relay by following the steps in the photo. Connect battery + and - to 1 and 2 respectively and you should have continutity across 3 and 4.
