what is the longest riser i can put on a 04 warrior i have a 1 inch on now but want to go much higher maybe 4 to 6 inches does the brake hose have to be replaced i know the throttle cable needs to be replaced what i want to know is does the mountain throttle cable work and does the stock warrior wire harness work with tall riser thanks for any help i sat on 06 sleds in colebrook n.h.this weekend i love the high handlebars i must make my warrior bars higher

u'll need to buy a new throttle cable, break hose and a parking brake cable(parking brake cable is optional) cables alone will run u $100. i would suggest gettin a block riser. also if ur looking to stand up, i'd also suggest getting a pivot block riser. i believe powermadd makes both. pivot riser is bout $50, and block riser about $40
How does the pivot block riser work? does it allow you to place th bars farther forward, or move them back and forth.

well from what i read in the mag it allows u to put ur handlebars straight up(like revs or firecats), without having any problems with creating any weak points. oh by the way-stock wires will reach 9"...just to let ya know i've tried it. amazingly i didnt have any tors problems but last sun when i was up north i moved my handlebars way forward, so i could lean as close to the front as possible and my tors flipped on...so i moved them backa bit and didnt have any problems.

Get an articulated riser. It will let you position the bars forward or backward as much as you like. If you go strait up, you'll have to chop up your stock windshield, but it should make a tremendous difference in handling.
red2003, what brand of articulating riser are you using. Can this be adjusted while your out on the trail or is it somethiing you set up and live with one position.

I see you are using a Lowrance Ifinder GPS, do you ride in michigan and if you do you have any trail data you could share?

I've had no clearance problems with the windshield. Actually I use a Lowrance Global GPS and no, I haven't ridden in Michigan with it installed. I did use it in Idaho and around West Yellowstone and found it to be very useful. I've ordered more Ram mounts so that I can use the gps on my other sled too.

Chance, did you HAVE to install the 05 RX Mountain throttle and choke cables, or could you of gotten by without them.
I just got a 2" Rox articulating riser for my 05 Vector (with standard handle bars), and haven't tried putting them on yet.

It is pretty tight with stock cables. If you have the riser tilted forward rather than straight up you can probably get by with stock cables. If you try it make sure you check it out with the track off the ground and turn the bars all the way in each direction. 05 cables from Yamaha are fairly inexpensive..about 40 bux for the pair.

Chance, nice pics. Thats the same setup I'm using except with hand guards and no mountain strap. I used stock cables, and you're right they are tight but work with the bars way forward. Next upgrade is to an 06 seat, or BOSS.
I have the same setup on my WARRIOR(05) with stock cables and no issues at all.
who sells these Rox risers. Do they come any taller, it looks like you can move them forward quite a bit but at the expense of height. I would like to be about 2"-3" taller but as far forward as i can get them.
