I am going to install a new apex seat on my RX-1. Need some height to staighten out the knees. (Gettin Old) Anyway I love the ride height on the Apex. My question is, what have ya'll done to the tailight? Use the old one? use the Apex light? Was there much fabin to make either of these choices to work? Thanks for any info! Honk

In your PM, you didnt tell me that you were going to use a Apex seat. With the Apex seat, you will have to either change the wire connections or the wire loom in the seat. You can use the Apex tail light but you will have to change the wire connectors on one end. With the earlier Nytro seat, you dont have to do any wire work.

Either way is not a bad job I like the look of the newer light if you have one. You just have to install the connector from your old seat to plug into the wiring harness at the front and the one at the rear to accept the old light. If you change the seat and use the new light you only need to change the front connector.

I am also interested in putting an apex seat on my RX-1! What year apex seat are people putting on there sled and what do they cost up in canada?

thanks! ;)!

So no one knows what year apex seats people are putting on there RX-1? Are you guys buying them new or get them used?

I bought a totalled 06 and brought everything over to the 03. the seats are the same from what I have experienced.

So 06, 07, 08 apex seats are the same? What do they go for roughly new?

lookin at the install, the job looks quite simple. The new Apex seat has storage too! When cutting the plastic area, it says to take 3 and a half inchs at the middle. Do you stay at 3-1/2" all the way around, or do you just angle it down to the point area at the bottom? Thanks guys! Honk
