Ditto to what Trxster said. Here is what I have done:
1. I used an aftermarket dropdown bracket as a template to make new ones from 1/4" 6061 aluminum. They look very similar to Trxsters. I don't have any pics w/them installed.
2. I went w/3" pitch so I could use the new Maverick track. Either way will work just fine. Depends on what you are looking to do w/your sled.
3. After a lot of research, I ended up useing the 31-1/4" center-to-center measurment between the front and rear drop-down brackets.
4. I paid $400 for mine + $88 to ship to Wa. State. If you are saying it is an extra $450 for shipping, that seems kinda high. I shipped a stock 04 RX-1 skid(75#'s worth) to alaska for $150ish.

Thanks Jonny Rocket!
It's between $300-400 for the skidframe + $450 just for shipping. So I will end up somewehere between 750-850 in total. As I said - " I'm living at the wrong side of the planet when you look at the shipping costs."
But in total that's alot cheaper than buying a skidframe in Norway.

Since I'm on the roll with questions, will all the m-series suspensions need the Holz front torque arm relocation kit? No matter year what year the suspension is made?
If I have undestood it right the kit fixes the track tensioning problem on stock M7 rear suspensions - so the suspension can cycle freely without the track over-tightening.

That's right except in '07 they have corrected it with it built into the rails now I see.

WOW. I guess that is a good reason for me not to move to Norway.
Regarding the skid, I purchased an 04 king cat skid which does not have the track tensioning issues the M7 skid does. (brackets already in place) I purchased it from Troy at RV sports.

Keep watching Ebay for a skid 3 or 4 have sold this fall in the 400.00 range.2 of them were Ti as well so that's a pretty good deal. IMO the relocation bracket is mandatory for the M7 skid but once it's on it works great.

TT: 850 for the skid? have you tried any of the 'local' stores?
Like sør-varanger snøscooterdemontering and so on? Or tried getting a new one? 850 + Tax, right? that would be an expencive skid.

It's still alot cheaper than a buying a new one. Fred in Pasvik dosn't have a 153" skidframe.
I've tried out autodb just like you did - no response.
You probaly saw that I put the skid, track and tunnel ext. for sale in HSperformance forum back home. So if you hear of any in Alta that want to longtrack their Rx1 let me know.
By the way - what's up with the trapper?

I will check out if anybody want's a longtrack.
Let me know if you start putting an AC sid in yours...truly interested in that...
I think I will install a SC3/4 if I buy a TRX this season.
The trapper...well...you know...ah....schieeet... LOL
