So far I am really liking them. Will switch back to stock skiis later when trails open so I can get a back to back comparison.

Rubber spindle spacers are a issue. We all heard the SlyDog rubbers worked on the Nytro for these skiis.Well RedPhazer was very hesitant in recommending the spacers for our Phazer and I agree with him.I used the Slydogs and they dont fit well.Definitly not enough pressure to tip skiis upward when off ground. Will have to try something else. What have you others used?

I put on bergstrums triple points with ski saver strips and shims under the rubber block on the stock skis. I will let you know how that goes if we ever get some snow.

Otter

I thought that you had to just turn one of the bushing around on the Doo ski and they would just bolt up.

I have what Otter has on his sled except for the shims. seem OK but I wanted to try the 5.7 Pilots.

The skiis are on the sled already.Problem is the rubber shim deal way to sloppy and does not keep the ski tips pointed upward when off the ground.

Cannondale I wouldn't bother to put the stock skis back on, you know you'll hate it. There is no reason to go back to those crappy skis. I replaced mine and never looked back.

I believe you are right. The Pilots sure seem easier to turn and float better.Goal was to reduce some tippines in corners with the outside runner. Will have to wait for some groomed fast trails for that test.

Does anyone here have Nytro?I thought our spindles were the same?Looks like shims and maybe silicone to fill in the gaps with the rubbers will be only way to fix the rubber issue.

I spent about two hrs reading all the Nytro posts on this and still am not sure.Maybe they got different rubbers from Slydog but mine arent even close. Will try the Skidoo rubbers.

Here is some pics of Slydog Rubbers. These were for a Phazer.Notice how there is a big gap at front and back of rubber. The rubbers also only make good contact of spindle right under the bolt.Maybe I got the wrong style of rubber from Slydog?

Okay Slydog Phazer rubbers DO NOT WORK ON A PHAZER OR A NYTRO WITH PILOTS.Just get the Skidoo ones and shape them if neccesary.Mine were already shaped by guy I got skiis from but too much and I put a shim(rubberhose) under it at back. Now we are talking.

Also I love these skiis. They do push in loose snow but on any hardpack they turn awesome and very easy.Only time they dart is if behind someone else with same skiis and its no big deal.

I have to find something for my C & A skis too. The rubbers that came with the skis were ok at first, but now after a year they no longer keep the ski tips up when not on the ground. We'll have to try different things and discuss what works.

Yes ZX rubbers.Keep in mind mine were cut already. They were on a APEX.So I still had to shim(rubber gasline hose)they seem real good now.
