I did some work on the sled today, take off steering column and side shaft to sand the plastic bushing. The top one on the side shaft was tight.I sand the plastic bushing on a sand block and had to grind brass bushing between the plastic bushing to keep it tight. reassemble with grease.
The side shaft beside the oil tank was the worse one.
This job take out 50% off my steering slack....HERE SOME PICS!

My steering was also very squeaky and has alot of play in it. Had to lube up the bushing like the one in pic 3 with some lithium white grease.
Good info!, going to check my link behind the oil tank, the slop is unnacpetable!

I did the same thing yesterday also, but I just bought new bushings. All 6 of them were $13.

Make sure to ZERK them it makes it a lot easier to grease them every so often then they'll last for EVER...

I don't see the need to put Zerk,in theory i am good for another 3 season + the steering column are unreachable with a grease gun with out remove a lot of part.
