Would anyone know what type of oil is used for the supercharger? It feels like a light weight oil?

Took a brief look at the specs on the Rotrex traction fluid and it is extreemly light weight oil the closest thing I found was trans fluid but its still doen't meet the specs. $95.00 per quart is a little ridiculus. Hammer this is a good job for you , find something for us will you?

Found this article pretty interesting. The traction fluid is made here in the usa by a company called Santotrac. It was designed for toroidal continously variable transmissions because they use metal on metal for the transmission of power. This stuff actually turns into a solid under ultra high pressures and can increase grip by 50 to 100%. Pretty cool. The reason a rotrex blower needs it is because it uses a metal on metal speed multiplication roller system. Just an interesting bit of knowledge for anyone contemplating putting regular oil into a rotrex blower.

I wonder if you could dump that stuff into a slipping automatic tranny.
